I wish John Henry would fire himself next

I couldnt be more happy. I never liked Cora from day 1. He always seemed to me to be so condescending and arrogant. good riddance.

Irony is firing the manager after a 17-1 win. Lol

Not much is going to change, its still the same roster. The starting pitching should improve a bit and come back more to the norm but that was going to happen anyways. It also doesnt do anything to address the fact that its a bad lineup without much power and they should have traded Duran one of the last two years when his value was at the highest it would ever get

I see the biggest Red Sox problem being the upper management and that will not change unless attendance drops as its all about the profit coming in every day.

Well you might get your wish in the next year or two. Cleaning house would indicate that the front office is on the off seat. Firing coaches is basically the last move a GM has to buy himself some more time

The biggest problem is John Henry, he doesn't care enough about the team to green light management to spend money

That's the only way to compete and if he isn't interested in doing that he should sell It to another billionaire who is looking for a project

But where would he get his money for real estate, hockey teams, racing teams and soccer teams if he sold?

Bunch of former Red Sox players and some current are wondering why all the coaches got fired but Breslow who is generally very disliked by the players is still around. One player texted a reporter its like crapping your pants and changing your shirt

Well maybe the shirt got some crap on it too as Tracy has them only 2 games out of a wild card spot!

Definitely too early for playoff talk with over 100 games left, but everyone in the AL is knocking on the wild card door. Every team in the AL besides the Yankees and Tampa going into today were .500 or under

Correas out for the year now and the Astros were just bad, Skubal is going to miss a lot of time with elbow surgery for the Tigers, Cole is throwing temper tantrums trowing at guys in single A because hes getting shelled in his rehab starts.

I wouldnt count anyone out in the AL this year for a playoff spot, but I also wouldnt call a wild card an accomplishment

The Sox have some good young pitchers that show promise going forward!

They will be traded to the Brewers by Breslow.

The Red Sox have the same problem the Indians have, they just can't seem to score. Both teams are near the bottom of MLB in that category.

Until Breslow gets fired this is whats going to happen. He makes too many mistakes just like Preller in SD and it catches up to you. Sox fans should be hoping for the worst season possible to get him fired

I really hope the young pitchers keep doing what they are doing right now as there are not that many pitchers out there that are the real deal right now and to have 3 or 4 of them on the Red Sox is exciting.

Tracy is doing a great job in the manager position along with Breslows left handed pitchers. Is it time to think Breslow is on the right track with his choices?

Breslow and Tracy have done a great job of getting the Red Sox back in contention for a spot in the playoffs this year. They are now only 4 games away from a wild Card spot and are closing fast as the all star game approaches . Lets get behind them!!

While it’s not the disaster some make his moves out to be he’s average at best overall and he’s unbuilt their farm system. What moves do you like? Suarez? Gray? His extensions recently seem a little suspect. Bloom should have been given time. That guy is sharp.

Im not sure what youre hoping to hear. Hes god awful and needs to be fired. Theyre 4 games below .500 with 90ish games left and who knows whats wrong with the Os. The AL is just bad overall this year which is why they are in the WC race. Theres 5 teams over .500 and two just barely. Other than the Royals and Angels the entire AL in in the playoff hunt

You do you and keep the thread going, I'm a fair weather fan with the Sox

Yes I want them to win a world series but I don't stick with them through the highs and lows

    Only the highs lol

We are at a high point right now and Breslow's deals are working fine right now including all of his picks as coaching staff. I believe in giving credit when credit is do and did not say much earlier here because I did not see much good happening but now when it looks like they are coming together as a team I back them all the way. They have earned it so far this year. They are definitely the team I want to see win it all!

Everybody here is still waiting for the other shoe to drop. Breslow dropped it already when the only coach he didn't fire was the pitching coach.

I'm glad I live over 2000 miles from Fenway Park as I get to see every game on the cheap that the MLB package provides me! My father would have loved that!

NFL is probably the worst now with the amount of streaming services you need but MLB had always been bad for locals in a lot of locations. I really dont get the logic of how their blackouts work

Neither do I but so far I am enjoying the games. I gave upon football a couple of years ago and now just watch whatever games are available to me for free. I do not know how to stream a game but I'm sure money has to change hands somewhere.
That Red Sox game today was a great game to watch and tomorrow they got Gray pitching and it sure would be nice to see them sweep 5 games in a row from the 1st place team!
