PCGS holder label fading – guidance on relabel / reholder process?

Hi all,
I’m looking for some advice on how to proceed with a PCGS slab where the label has significantly faded over time.
As you can see in the photos, the printed text on the insert has faded quite a bit, making parts of it hard to read. The coin itself and holder are otherwise fine.
I’d like to get this corrected, ideally through a complementary re-holder service. A few questions:
1. Is this something PCGS will address under a specific service (Reholder / label warranty) ?
2. Would this be considered a defect covered by PCGS ?
If anyone (or PCGS) can point me to the best way to handle this, I’d really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!

No such thing as complementary at PCGS
They will be happy to let you pay to have it reholdered.

I’d be (pleasantly) surprised if that type of defect would be covered by PCGS. I suggest contacting them and asking, however.

Looks like moisture damage, or some other storage issue, it doesn't look like natural fading from the picture.

Is that a silver foil label? It looks like it and perhaps the ink did not stick to the label as well as the regular paper labels. Good luck with PCGS!

Yup, since all my coins are stored exactly the same way and this is my only silver foil label, I think it is a PCGS label quality issue.
Is there a full pic of the whole slab?
Actually, I think you might consider that it is a storage issue. Just because the foil was more sensitive to the environment doesn't mean the foil was faulty.
All comments reflect the opinion of the author, even when irrefutably accurate.
The ink does not appear to have bonded to the foil properly and is flaking off over time.
The foil labels are horrible. Best chance at a freebie would be discussing it with someone at a show. This argument might work. If you owned it before it looked this way, then the toner not bonded to the foil is somewhere else inside the slab. You'd like to ensure that it doesn't/didn't end up on the coin. They might give you a "free blow-off," they might not.
When buying coins in in foil label holders and other hideous holders, always budget for reholdering.

Thanks all for the advices.
I also think that's a foil label specific issues, as I have never seen similar issues in the more common non-foil labels. I emailed PCGS customer support to see if they will take care of it.
