Additions to my “Second Box of 20”, Classic Commems.

The 1937S Boone is a lower mintage issue of only 2,506 coins.

The 1938D Texas is a lower mintage issue as well at only 3,775 coins produced. The lowest of any Texas issued.
    Zack.

I was always happy to see the higher graded commems, it always brings a smile

Found this Quarter for this small album. Hope to leave this one and 4 others to my grandkids.

Helped put one together for a cousin, it was fun

I received four upgrades to my uncirculated peace dollar set in March, and just got them photographed today!

Beautiful Peace Dollars, although the grades and images suggest that these examples are circulated, rather than uncirculated. I like the ‘34 and ‘35 Philly coins.

Nothing is as expensive as free money.

Of course you’re right, I meant to type “circulated”.

Thank you, that ‘35 is especially nice. It’s really tough to find plus coins in that grade, especially in a CACG slab.

Really nice coin, my lord how far our artistic sense of coin design has plummeted in 100 years

Finally found a great CAC approved 1921 Peace Dollar for my slider set with eye appeal that makes an upgrade worth it. This coin is gorgeous in hand. I’m quite well chuffed as they say. Got some new lights and I can’t wait to photograph it this weekend.

Had to go over budget some to win the auction (price guides have not kept up), but now that it’s in hand my worries are gone.

    Tough addition:

I was looking for either a 1854 or 1855 T2 with a CAC sticker in lower MS grade for my type set. These are flat out unavailable, unless one wants to go mid-upper MS for a 5 figure price tag! I was way lucky to find this one (& in an affordable grade/price). Actually nice for the assigned grade; problem free & without any issues.

Eventually, I want to get that in MS 64, I’m dreading that price tag! :D
