True View Images not loading

A portion of my sets show as No Image Available but they should be…….Two questions, Is this being worked on? and Could I delete all of the coins with images missing, and then re-enter them into the set, and the problem is fixed? Not really wanting to go to option 2, if it is an ongoing problem that will be fixed. Thanks

    They’ve been working on them for at least 3 years. There is a bug somewhere and they can’t seem to find it or fix it.

    I also have been told that they are working on it. The only work around that I have found is to click on the space where the coin would be shown in the online album. This will bring up the True View image. Then use the + icon to enlarge the picture to show either the Obv or Rev image in the opening. Then click and hold the image to move it into place. Make a few +/- adjustments and you're done. It's a hassle, but if you are only adding one or two coins into the album it's not that big a deal.

    I can do this but my actual set inventory doesn’t show the coins. My albums seem to be fine.

    I recently noticed that random coins in my inventory that should have and used to have Trueviews suddenly did not.
    I contacted them and was told they are aware of it and working on it.

    This problem has existed for over well over 6 months. Can PCGS bring in an IT expert and get this problem finally corrected? Perhaps PCGS is not aware of just how big a problem this is? I am not sure how people are going to compete when the true view pics are not displayed.

    This is a recurring source of frustration for me. I've started using the MyCollect Registry and Inventory functions instead when I want to view my sets. It pulls in the TrueViews automatically.

    Nothing is as expensive as free money.

    I mean cannot PCGS bring in an IT consultant to fix this problem? I have custom sets with 300+ medals and I cannot view a lot of the pictures in the set.

    I am having similar problems....i.e. Coins that are in my inventory do not show up in my Coin Album and the Inventory thumbnails are spotty....some are there, many are gone. I used to love the coin album, because it was the one place I could see all the TV's for my entire inventory...It worked great, now I am using MyCollect to view all my coins....Sorry to say, but PCGS, I support you guys, and have loved the Registry, but this really needs to be fixed.

    how is it possible for MyCollect to pull in true view pictures but PCGS cannot pull in the True View pictures into inventory? PCGS cannot say they are working on the problem when MyCollect can pull in the pictures. It simply does not take this long to correct the problem.

    I hope others join this thread because it does not appear PCGS is seriously addressing this issue and they are not going to until enough people start complaining. I enjoy pcgs and they typically do the right thing but this problem simply must be addressed.

    How are set awards going to be made when sets cannot be viewed?

    For the sheer volume of times this topic has come up before, I doubt the "enough people complaining" is a factor at all :neutral: -- They didn't have digital album awards this past year - which further emphasizes their recognition of the problem -- and apathy towards it.

    Don't ask me how, but for whatever reason I was able to add a True View Image to my Washington Quarters digital album yesterday by clicking the add True View Images button. Surprised the sh*t outta me!

    Something must have changed, my new True View images are now loading just fine in all formats including the digital albums. I hope all are having the same good fortune!

    This is interesting ...
    I have 381 coins in my inventory. I like to use the 500 at a time listing, so I can just scroll thru them all.
    If I set to 25 at a time, I DO see the TVs that seem to go missing.
    Once I set to 50 at a time or higher, poof, they are gone again.
    Does this help track down what causes the TVs to not show up in the inventory?

    Thinking about my previous post, is there some sort of data transfer buffer limit going on?
    Might that be on the server/query-side, or in the browser (I'm using the latest Firefox).

    Thanks but no, this doesn't help. It doesn't matter which view I use for my sets, inventory or digital albums, many of the TV images still don't load.

    @Charles_Morgan are you able to update the many PCGS customers who are still experiencing Trueview images not loading after more than a year? Surely this issue can be fixed if a serious effort is made by the IT department.

    I don't want to get ahead of the tech team's work, but I can give this general answer. It is not one issue, but a number of small issues that arise that impact different accounts. While we are playing a game a whack-a-mole at the present time, major technical work that you can't yet see will get us to a place where good things are possible.
