What do you keep in your pockets, rocks. That is 1 beat up coin in 2 1/2 years.

FWIW, these are .999 fine silver, so fairly soft.

    Keys will do this.

I can understand the scuffs, but do the keys wear down the coin's surface like that. The obverse's blossoms and leaves and reverse's wreath are really worn.

The progression of over exposure  :)  That said you did a great job of showing in accelerated fashion the degradation of mint surfaces/luster down to the VF level. So many people / graders get stuck on details but they fail to grade the surfaces

No, the keys alone did not do this. Not a chance imo.

He's been artificially circulating it just like he did with a Nickel recently.

Hopefully he can proudly report back to us the Details Grade it'll get after he submits it to ANACS.

    To each his own....

I got the nickel in circulation, I’ll ready admit the dime is artificially circulated. But the Morgan is pocket wear only.

I quit carrying these a few years back.
They do get quite beat up though.
These were carried mostly by themselves in a pocket from mint state.

Yes, although it’s mostly other coins in this case.

You can see the credibility problem, can't you? Two artificially circulated coins, but the 3rd one is natural!

Not sure what else to say 🤷‍♂️ I’ve got progression pics for that coin.

I'm not accusing you of anything. I'm just saying that you can see why there may be doubters. But it's hardly that important for me to spend any time worrying about.
