The store allowed one more order than I had coins to fill those orders.
So I had to fill the last order with something. I had two of the double-struck prices and so I kept one and let go of the other.
In other words, it was a "fluke" situation. It was a true error, but more of an inventory error than a minting error..

He is a friend of mine from local coin shows and coin club meetings. He is also of Norwegian ancestry. He proposed that these be made and we split the mintage between us. I sold most of mine (but kept a few examples). Zachary is not selling his. He gave some to extended family members.

Here is my complete updated collection minus duplicates, arranged by date, mintmark and planchet. Only one is slightly out of order, but it's not too noticeable.
I was surprised at how many duplicates I had, wow.

I understand the silver sells out very quickly. I just received the copper piedfort - beautiful, so glad I went for this, not in my usual realm. Doing more research on the MCCC, I wish I had known about them last year, the Bela Lyon Pratt is a favorite of mine, would love to get it as well, even in copper.
