1913 T1 Buffalo 3 1/2 leg question.

I was going through some Buffalos I had on my desk and came across this one. Could this be the 3 1/2 leg variety or just a well worn Buffalo? Any insight is appreciated. The last picture is from PCGS.

I like its chances. Appears to have some of the obverse die markers of what appeared to be heavy clashes behind the Indians neck and going up to partially removed third feather.

The coin itself is not in great shape, but it still exhibits traits that would confirm a 3 1/2 Legger.

I think you've got one..

On the topic... what do we think of this one? It looks like a lot of leg there but it might just be the crud making it stand out. Maybe a proto-3 1/2 leg die state.

It's possible that the coin above is an earlier die state of the 3 1/2 Legger. The obverse has similarities (like the area to the left of Iron Tail's neck).
If you look at the U in UNUM on the two nickels, you will see that one touches the back of Black Diamond, and the other one is noticeably farther away.
I believe that the difference happened due to a reworking of the reverse, which slightly shrunk the Buffalo.
The coin is most likely the 3 1/2 Legger.
Just my opinion, folks.

Looks legit Vetter!
