I say you should be able to post the post-1964 silver ones too. Why not? It’s a virtual album, not the printed one by Dansco, right?

My 9 year old daughter has followed this thread and made me promise I’d post this.
Her first collecting pursuit. Took us about a year to complete. Not a single online purchase. Wanted her to use this whole experience to handle a bunch of coins and learn the basics about luster and surfaces. All of these were picked up either at LCS or local shows. She picked them all out (with some help/guidance from Dad).
Now onto a Dansco 7070 album!

I bought this graded example for $6 at an auction at the coin club. ANACS AU58. The color is a bit nicer in hand

Good morning, and welcome to February 21st. We're done with the dimes now.
Our next denomination and type is the short-lived Liberty Seated 20C Piece (1875-78).
Presently my only 20-cent piece is a holed example in my "holey" collection, but I don't have a picture of that. (Not that you were all that eager to see it anyway, LOL.) Over the years I've had various G-VG coins in type sets, almost all of them the ubiquitous 1875-S.
My past "best of type" was this humble 1875 (-P) in PCGS F12. Though not especially high grade, it did at least have a pleasingly original "CircCam" appearance and it was a slightly less common Philadelphia coin rather than the usual San Francisco issue.

My only 20cent piece, a cleaned AT coin pulled from a details holder that resides in my 7070 album. Not a nice coin and one that I would like to update someday but good enough for the album.

Good morning. It is Sunday, February 22nd. Today we move into the quarters.
Our type today is the Capped Bust Quarter (1831-38). This is the smaller diameter subtype.
Since this is a virtual 7070 album and not a physical one, I say you could also post the earlier (1815-28) larger diameter coins as well. These are excluded from the physical album because they won’t fit in the hole.
I presently have only one coin of this type. It is in my holed 19th century type set.
Here is a large-diameter piece I had. My previous “best of type” was an 1815 in PCGS VF25, but this 1818 F12 CAC is the only one I have photos of.
This small-diameter piece was a PCGS VF25. I do not think I have ever owned a Capped Bust quarter of either subtype which graded higher than VF25.

There are a total of 49 of these in this MS63 grade (26 by PCGS and 23 by NGC). Of those 49 in this grade, ONLY TWO merit a CAC sticker! Some die cracks on the obverse, including the so-called “Scarface” die crack.
I bought the below 1838 as a 64. I liked it so much when I got it in hand, I sent it back to PCGS for Reconsideration. Sure enough, despite the booger coming out of her nose, lol, they agreed, and added on a plus. That little plus doubles the value!

Today we move on to our next type, which is the Liberty Seated Quarter No Motto (1838-65).
Exception: do not post the 1853-55 Arrows at Date coins, as that will be our type for tomorrow.
My previous “best of type” was a nice white 1862 PCGS MS62. But I no longer have pictures of it. So once again, since I lack this type in my present slabbed collection, I must fall back on my “holey” type set.
