    Can’t tell from photo if bottom bell line is full or not so I’ll say MS67 no FBL.

    I immediately thought proof but then didn't feel the rims look sharp enough for proof. Not sure but will say MS67+FBL. JMO

    It's a proof coin, so no one has to worry about an MS grade or FBL designation.

    I really love the die polish lines that can be found on the early proof Franklin issues.

    This one has clear die polish along the portrait in what appear to be both swirls and straighter lines, but the reverse seems to be devoid of die polish lines, or at least there are quite a bit fewer of them. There seems to be a planchet void near the clapper of the bell on the reverse and perhaps something else going on at 9:00 near the reverse, but the obverse is nuts and I don't see the coin going below PR67. However, we all know attempting to grade proof coinage from images is sketchy, at best.

    LOL, Did you read the title?

    The title was changed to include the grade and proof status more than 17-hours after the post you quoted.

    This coin is mine. For some odd reason, lately high end Proof Franklin’s seem to have had low interest in GC auctions. This coin has a PCGS Price Guide Value of $7,250 and a CAC Price Guide Value of $7,000.

    From the PCGS Auction Prices Realized, the most recent 1951 Proof Franklin graded by PCGS that merited a CAC sticker was sold at Heritage in March 2019 for $8,100, including the BP. From the GC Coin Auction Archive, the most recent one without toning was sold in December 2024 for $7,031, including the BP.

    There are 94 of these graded PR68 (11 by PCGS and 83 by NGC). Of those 94, only 22 have a CAC sticker!

    I bought this coin last month on GC as an upgrade for my Proof Franklin set for $4,531 including the 10% bp (excluding postage).

    Yes, @FlyingAl has the ability to take great photos, including the difficult task of showing luster as it appears in-hand in a two-dimensional photo.
