It's a coin that only a rare DM collector or an 'old holder with bean' collector would love. It should look better in hand where its luster can come into play. Photos don't flatter MS coins with this kind of toning.
@Barberian . That 75-S is covered with original mint bloom; I bet it is exceptional in hand. I rarely concentrate on MS coins but that one gets my attention. Congrats. James

It looks like the "bloom" is tarnished. I don't normally collect MS coins, but I think it will look better than its photos. It seems lustrous anyway. I'm excited about it.
I submitted seven classic commemoratives to CAC for stickering and three of those seven passed - The Norfolk, Roanoke, and Gettysburg. Unfortunately, I only have Trueviews for the Gettysburg. My favorite toned Lincoln and Pan Pac, did NOT pass.
PCGS MS64 CAC - I was disappointed it wasn't AU58. The eBay auction closing at an MS63 price level should have been my first clue that it wasn't AU58.

Just came back from grading. Now, I have to see if it will sticker. When finished, I'll have spent twice what I paid for the coin just for grading, but this AG3 WB-1 1855/1854 with a pronounced overdate is one of my favorite coins for its rich, original toning. Some coins speak to you; this coin sings the "Hallelujah Chorus" to me. I adore this coin! Sadly, the Trueviews for almost the entire order are overexposed and light levels had to be adjusted.
This is another favorite. The Facebook Commemorative Club thought that this Bay Bridge and all of my other commemoratives were TEMU fakes. It was fun asking them why and then showing them the grades and Trueviews. I guess they have never looked at circulated commemoratives before.
One of my favorite 1855/54 overdates, A WB-1 with the entire 1854 date visible underneath the 1855, just returned from PCGS. It just an AG3 but I love the deep, crusty original toning and excellent overdate on this coin. The Trueview was overexposed again (it looked like a dead fish with faded color), so the brightness was reduced to better approximate the coin in-hand.

Benicia is a small town near San Francisco, California.
It was a United States Army base during the California Gold Rush and was briefly the state capitol in the 1850's.
The Benicia State Capitol building is still standing as a museum and has a half dollar from the year that Benicia was the state capitol:
