My thanks to Winesteven for a new purchase.

SanctionIISanctionII Posts: 12,974 ✭✭✭✭✭

Winesteven upgraded his 1962 Proof Franklin from this PF68DCAM CAC.

to a PF68+DCAM CAC.

He sold me his PF68DCAM CAC. It arrived today and it is gorgeous. It will upgrade this 1962 PF68CAM half in my Registry Sets.

Thank you very much Steve.

Thanks for the pic. Really like penguins. Spent a month hanging out with them.

Wow! I’m jealous! Though where I was it was a bit warmer being on the equator. 🤣

I also had no idea my new signature photo would show up that big. 😆 We’ll just dispense with that right now.

Here’s the photo since I deleted it in my sig.

    Sweet!

I want a DCAM Franklin! They are the only Frankies that turn me on.

I haven't had one in more than 20 years. Found this one in one of my old retired Registry sets, from not long after the millennium.

Did all my pics on a flatbed scanner back in those days.

Outstanding! I love the super deep mirrors and contrast.

Great looking coin! Adding the winesteven provenance makes it even more special.

I compared the two coins last night. The DCAM coin has frost that is similar to the frost on the CAM coin. The fields on the DCAM coin are better than the fields on the CAM coin. The fields on the CAM coin, when looked at through a loupe, show the presence of minute radial flow lines. The DCAM coin's fields do not have radial flow lines.

Your CAM coin must be real nice (absolutely no surprise), since both PCGS and CAC each agree that the frost on both sides of your new coin merit the DCAM suffix. Regardless, I’m glad that you really like your new coin.

    Have a nice weekend.

Ahh, yes…WineSteven’s table scraps and cast offs are oftentimes better than many people’s best efforts/gourmet meals. :D

That being said, the PF68 Dcam looks amazing! 🤩

Sounds like a win-win for everyone involved. 👍

Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍
