A little out of my collecting realm but this Buffallo looks really nice

I purchased this off of ebay. The images are better than I could have done. This coin looks pretty sharp. Definetly going to send this into our host and see what they think.

Nice coin. But you need to get a 67 to make it worth submitting. I think that's a glamour shot. It doesn't look like a just a straight photo

I agree completely. Im hoping its worthy of a higher grade. I think once you get to that level it lies in the graders hands to determine its final status.
I could use a win thats for sure.
Ive purchased from this seller before and the coins I have received have either matched or were better than the images. Reliable seller.
Look forward to receiving it.

Common date, overall good luster, has nice eye appeal, but I don't like the black carbon spots on the obverse. Coins like this generally go 65 or 66. Good luck.

Really nice.
A nice looking buff. I really like the look of the reverse. Based on the photos, I would guess 66 minimum and 67 maximum.
Looks good, nice and luster-y, light gold toning is also a bonus.
My guess is that the coin would grade less than 67 and thus, not merit the cost of grading.

Common date
Great strike
I’m not liking the dark spotting

Anything is possible but I would grade the coin 65 based on the photo. Onthe positive side, it appears to have plus luster.
On the negative side, the carbon spots are likely worse and somewhat hidden by the overexposed photo. They will hurt the grade. Also, the 1937 is the second most common Buffalo, including in high grade. They routinely come hammered. This coin is not - the central strike on the obverse is soft for a 37. Look in particular at the braid and hair north of the braid.
The reverse is better but as Mark Feld will tell you, the obverse is more important for establishing a grade. One way to look at it is a reverse can normally only lower a grade initially established by an obverse, and will rarely raise it.
Not trying to be a wet blanket and if you can submit under some special at a reduced rate, give it a shot. Back when I collected Buffalos, I submitted a lot of them, tried to use specials and learned things along the way.

Cost me $40
Im not trying to provoke an argument just conversation. I am not doubting what people are saying about there guess at a grade and why they came to that conclusion. If I didnt use this forum and went strictly by coinfacts for information what would I think?
When the coin comes I will see what these spots are all about then determine whether or not I will submit the coin.
This is graded ms 67+

According to the ebay listing it cost you $50 with the shipping. It is a nice coin from the photos, but I don't see it grading over MS65. This coin has a very weak obv center strike, carbon spots, and there is some type of weird depression next to black diamonds eye, perhaps that is just some strange photo effect. With your $50 purchase cost plus the costs to have it graded you could have bought a PCGS graded MS66 for the same or perhaps even a bit less.
If you like the coin that is what ultimately matters, I personally would not submit this coin. But best of luck and let us know your result if you do submit.

Can't compare the two dates. The 37 P typically comes hammered. The 27 P does not. It looks like you bought an attractive type coin. I did likewise with a 38 D.

You are making a false equivalency in posting high grades of different dates. Like comparing an 81-S Morgan to a 21-S Morgan, same design but not the same.

I made an honest mistake. Im sorry. I look at this on my break. I work a 12 hour shift and I get tired.
So just forget it.

hey @Morgan13 don't be hard on yourself, this board has the many solid folks, and truth and facts are often said, not fluff and window dressing.
I'm in the 65 camp too, for same reasons already mentioned
OP coin looks like something in the MS-64/5 range to me, going only by pics. It would have to shot 66+ at least for me to think about getting it certified.
