I pulled this one out with a price of $175 on it. I wish I could find them at that price now. Let’s see yours so we can all kick ourselves a little.

11.5$ Southern Dollars, The little “Big Easy” set
I remembered an Ebay sale from about four years ago. It was a large lot of over 30 bust halves, with some originally priced between 70-90 cents.

Here is one of my own. 1807 small stars with a $120 and/or $300 price tag on it. These are worth a lot more today.

Bought this DE, uncertified on 4-5-97, for $475. The good old days!
Theres alot more to like on this, I like 👍
I am at the FUN show this week, sold this coin today for 120. I’ve had it for about a year and left it in this holder because i enjoyed the story/ride so much!
Also, the show was pure chaos today!
Likely not that old, probably ~20-25 like the rest of the coins from this lot I picked up last year, but I still thought the price was worth posting.

7.50
Here's a quick scan of some of the 'error' coins I got in a 2 double-row box deal. There were some good ones in it, but a LOT of junk as well.
Looking for PCGS AU58 Washington's, 32-63.
It would be cool to find a 1903-O morgan with a skyrocket pre-1960s price tag on it. Back then, that issue was a considerable condition rarity, but the GSA hoard releases flooded the market with uncirculated examples. I wonder what other types/dates were more expensive than today?

Here are a few items I dug out.

Some are 2x2 holders but I thought the others would be cool to show because of the dated purchase/price.
A couple of unc. Washington quarter rolls I bought in the mid 90’s.

Here is another that I purchased from the same B&M Dealer during the same time frame (1991)

I later identified the DDO which I had labeled as a TDO.
I submitted it not that long ago, but it sat in the cardboard 2x2 flip for 34 years.
Turns out it is actually a QDO.
I kind of like the yellow and the square window.
Edited to add: note the grade!
Smitten with DBLCs.
I've got a couple, but they are cherry-picks and not all that old:
1942 Jefferson Nickel (PROOF):

1933 Colorado Century of Progress "Dollar" (HK-868):

I can't tell for sure if there are still staples in that 2x2, but if there are, I would get them gone!
They are still there and I'd have to say original.

I think this one might be undergraded.

Definitely a candidate for a gold bean!
A friend of mine lost his father a few years ago and i agreed to appraise his coin accumulation. This gold piece was amongst his collection. I have no idea what year he would have purchased this but it seemed high to me. I purchased this piece at less than sticker as a thanks from my friend for my work. I sent it in and it came back MS60, so I did ok.
Love this thread!
I went to the Teyler Museum in Haarlem, Netherlands and they have a huge collection of Dutch coins from the 1400's on. They were collected by Pieter Teyler in the mid-18th century. And they are in these wooden showcases that look like this
These showcases have draws under the coins and they aren't locked up. I opened them up and they original boxes dating back to the 1800's and before and still stored in the draws with hand written notes.
Meanwhile
Did you ask for the QDO attribution or did thy just give you that as an upgrade?
I had pics of this one in the flip but they didn't show the price, luckily I held onto it after I removed the coin for my date set.

I had a buddy submit it for me. I'll have to check with him and follow up on this for you.
