Post a coin in an old 2x2 holder with its old price on it

I pulled this one out with a price of $175 on it. I wish I could find them at that price now. Let’s see yours so we can all kick ourselves a little.

    Likely not that old, probably ~20-25 like the rest of the coins from this lot I picked up last year, but I still thought the price was worth posting.

    Here's a quick scan of some of the 'error' coins I got in a 2 double-row box deal. There were some good ones in it, but a LOT of junk as well.

    It would be cool to find a 1903-O morgan with a skyrocket pre-1960s price tag on it. Back then, that issue was a considerable condition rarity, but the GSA hoard releases flooded the market with uncirculated examples. I wonder what other types/dates were more expensive than today?

    Here is another that I purchased from the same B&M Dealer during the same time frame (1991)
    I later identified the DDO which I had labeled as a TDO.
    I submitted it not that long ago, but it sat in the cardboard 2x2 flip for 34 years.
    Turns out it is actually a QDO.

    I went to the Teyler Museum in Haarlem, Netherlands and they have a huge collection of Dutch coins from the 1400's on. They were collected by Pieter Teyler in the mid-18th century. And they are in these wooden showcases that look like this

    These showcases have draws under the coins and they aren't locked up. I opened them up and they original boxes dating back to the 1800's and before and still stored in the draws with hand written notes.

    Did you ask for the QDO attribution or did thy just give you that as an upgrade?

    I had pics of this one in the flip but they didn't show the price, luckily I held onto it after I removed the coin for my date set.

    I had a buddy submit it for me. I'll have to check with him and follow up on this for you.
