Well, if you see it on eBay in the very near future don’t buy it.
It's bullion.
Its worth is diminishing daily.
$110.00 to $80.00 less than a week.
The price guide would disagree, but that’s OK. It’ll make a good album coin.

Without those obverse scratches it would have been an NGC MS71.
It's not worth the trouble and expense to mail it back to NGC so just take it to the next coin show where NGC is set up and let them honor their guarantee.

Happens. Pretty much every MS/PR70 has significant marking/spotting if you look long enough and hard enough. Granted, a 69 grade is probably the correct one here.

Sorry, I didn't want it when silver was $35 an ounce. To me the coin is a modern gimmick.
It had nothing to do with the New Orleans Mint except for the phoney mint mark. it's collector flypaper.
I'm in the same boat, the main reason I bought it is because I got a deal on it (not really now) but also this pawn is an hour travel and I wasn't leaving w/o buying something.
It's my way of building the piggy bank for a bigger purchase; I'll buy of bunch of small junk stuff (like this) at a good price and even if I don't make a profit eventually I have enough bulk to sell to get what I really want.
I can't just rip into my bank account and pull 5k on a whim. I have to massage it slowly. Anyway...
You are better at missing with stuff like this than I am. When I was a dealer and rented tables or booths, okay. Going to a show and trying peddle this stuff is impossible for me. Dealers love to pay pennies on the dollar "to the dreaded public."
If "the public" had a good coin to offer, I paid them fairly.

I don't know about that (me being better). I typically unload it all on ebay for a minimal loss plus 13% more so I have to buy well and this was not well.
Price guide I believe is 240.00 so you could expect 180.00 (and I paid 180) but with this one I can't even bring myself to represent it and sell as a 70.
The dealers at shows want nothing of it.
A while back I went to a show with my made 1983 D MS67FB dime. PG 2,200 and I couldn't sell it for half price.
One story was these aren't rare there are tons of them out there they just haven't been graded yet...
