State of the Collection: Early 2026 Snow Day Edition

I've generally done this once a year or so in December but this December ended up being a big month of additions for me, so I pushed it back a bit. I had some time today thanks to the approximately one foot of snow dumped on us so I chose to review my collection and take some pics.
I figured I'd share them since I haven't posted in quite a while.
US Type Set, NGC Fatties - Goal is all no barcode fatties with CAC. Work in progress obviously. I was fortunate enough to add several coins to this last year and upgrade a few pieces as well. Hoping for more progress this coming year.

Small Lot of Miscellaneous NGC Fatty Pieces - These hang out with the type set in the Eagle slab albums I keep it in.

Gold CAC Proof Franklin Fatty Set - Still a couple pieces short. I've made all these myself but I am fine if I have to buy the last two already made. I just want it done at this point.

Extra Fatties - My spares and leftovers I haven't parted with.

PCGS Rattlers - Originally a distraction for when I got bored with Fatties and couldn't find anything to buy, these are emerging as a quality group in their own right.

PCGS OGH - Another group that just kinda started coming together with minimal intentions or direction. Not as impressive as the rattlers, but some decent material nonetheless.

Modern Slabs - Stuff that came from collections I've bought, or stuff I've found and made, or got great deals on... Stuff with stories behind it basically. And a bunch of toners too. There is one OGH hanging out with these right now that will be the start of my next OGH box. There are also 4 miscellaneous pieces that don't really fit anywhere else.

GSA's - Kind of an afterthought at this point. Probably the closest thing to getting cut out of my collection. A few of those are reverse toners.

Thank you all for the kind words. The fatties have certainly been a labor of love and a lot of things over the past 6 years or so.
100%. Lee's collection is great in its own right. It just has a different focus than mine. I would go as far as saying they compliment each other quite nicely, actually.

Those would make for a great Old Holder sale this February!! Send some over in a big box packed with snow.
Thanks for sharing your coins, it is pretty awesome to see the collection together at once. Huge congrats on your progress so far, I know that is a lot of work!

Man I never knew how petty I was till I saw the GSA 1879 S Morgan that graded MS 66 +star and I was thinking "It only got a green bean"...
