…and came upon a bunch of coins that I thought were lost forever and one I had completely forgotten about. Hadn’t seen them since we moved 7 years ago.

Completely forgot I bought this years ago

How come when I look in the closet, it’s usually some long John’s I’ve been missing. What a nice find, I really like your 1880 TD. Nice coin!

When I look in the closet all I find are the same socks you have. Darn.

You forgot you had/lost over $20k in coins?
Too bad the link in your sig line isn’t working for me cuz I’d love to see the coins that you do know about.

That's what I'd like to know! If it's a legit Philly issue, that's a heck of a closet find.

Are we polling to guess which coin you completely forgot about? My guess is that sweet trade dollar at the end.

I paid $800 for a PCGS holder that says 75-P Chopmarked. No comment on the coin😂

An undisputed real one like that? $10k+.

I would like to hang out in your closet ;) Seems like the last time I read about you finding coins in your closet you had a bunch of odd ball stuff including an 1876 double dime. B)

  • tradedollarnuttradedollarnut Posts: 20,586 ✭✭✭✭✭

I agree that a true 75-P chop of that condition is a $10k coin. So damn rare - in 20 years of looking this was as close as I could find

Did you find any lost 1804 Dollars?

Or maybe a sixth 1913 liberty head nickel? :D The fifth one was actually found in a closet by a Walton family member..so why not? ;) His closet sounds like a treasure trove!

True! But not of that magnitude of course.
I was thrilled to come across a nice AU ‘29S walker that I had in an old album, found when I was going through boxes to assess what junk and bullion silver I had.
