bogus acknowledgement of positive activity i think
it's meaningless as far as i'm concerned. i'd like to have the old choose your title at 10k posts of days gone by. of course mine would be "none" or "not into it" or "nothing special" or something cute like that

You get five stars after you earn 1000 points. Points are earned by likes, agrees, etc..
I remember when you could choose your own title.., was just thinking about that the other day.

If you click on your username, it will show your Profile page, which currently shows 188 points.
So if you keep getting Likes, probably in a few months you will be at ****.
Getting to ***** might take a year or two.
I recall the first person to reach ***** was @ricko.
He posted here very frequently.
He ended up with 49,900 points from 98,724 posts when he passed away about 2 years ago.

It looks like I got mine when the forum software was updated, and I got many different badges that day.
Otherwise it would be hard to get 5 different badges on the same day, unless it is a new account.
I never got the burger king badge. The bug badge is interesting.
When I got to 5 stars they said I was an expert but my most recent submission would not agree...

I didn't notice that until you brought it up to my attention. Like the little things they put on your football helmet each time you make a nice tackle, interception, touchdown, block, etc. The last time I tackled a numismatist it was a mess -- coins all over the place

This might not be scientific, but I like to think more stars, more mustard stains.
The stars are kind of like the stickers they hand out to kids in kindergarten these days for participating.

I believe you get this badge when earn 5 other badges in one day. The longer you are a member It appears to me that you will never get this badge.
