Long story short, I bought and cracked out an NGC MS62 1917-P Standing Liberty quarter for my 7070 album a couple of years ago. I had 8 vouchers about to expire so I pulled it out of the 7070 and sent it in with some other stuff out of the 7070. I got it back last week. PCGS graded it MS63FH! Yes. I'm happy!

Not my series, but that is one great looking SLQ.
Congratulations.

Congrats! That’s a nice one!
I downloaded the PCGS photo, EFFING AMAZING ORGINAL COIN. Horrendous strike, with a full head and left nipple. Holy Crapola, the only reason I can see that this didn't 3 or 4 is possibly toning-subdued luster. I'd pay 3 or 4+ money for this coin all day long, depending on in-hand-look (if you wanna sell, and I wouldn't). Now this is what I call a COIN.
Impossible. PCGS always grades more conservatively than NGC. Send it back and let them know it originally came in an NGC holder so they can grade it AU58. 🫣
Beautiful coin. Congratulations on the upgrade.

I know 1917 is usually known for good strikes but that coin must have gone back for seconds. I am trying to remember if I have ever seen ANY Std. Qtr. with that much detail. Grading aside you must be thrilled to own such a piece. james
Looks like she should be designated FN as well 😉
Nothing is as expensive as free money.
Beautiful coin. Enjoy it, regardless of TPG opinions.

Beautiful coin! Congrats on the great result.
Wow, nice Christmas present!
Any idea how long ago NGC graded it?
I think you meant, "humongous."
Or maybe ‘stupendous?’ 🤔😉
Awesome! You have every right to be pleased! And it had every right to that happy outcome! COINgratulations!

Might this be the first "you suck" award of the year?

It’s a nice coin and story, but not worthy of the award, IMO.

I've never been a fan of toning.
Thats my kind of coin. Fully struck. I like it.

I usually kept the tpg labels in the back of my 7070. Of course I can’t find that one. If memory serves me correctly, it was new enough to have a photo when I pulled up the cert verification.
