Trueview?

I want to buy a 1982-D Washington Commemorative with a trueview. I have been looking for a while (eBay/shows) and have not found one. Is there a way to see if any have a trueview? I have checked the PCGS population and know that an MS69 is the highest graded, but I don't know how to find out if any of them have a trueview.

One way to access all the Trueviews available for a coin is to first click on this link https://www.pcgs.com/trueview/39056226 and then change the cert number to the cert number of the coin you are interested in. This will allow you to access all the different Trueview images available. Another way it to just do a cert lookup and if there is a trueview the main basic Trueview will show up if it has Trueviews, but just that one will be there.

Here is a list:

You could also buy one and send it in to be photographed.

I've always liked this coin and do have one in ms-69 now. No truview though.
They were selling for multi thousands of dollars in ms-69 in the 1990''s. You can get them for $25 now.
There is no publicly accessible list to find all of the coins that have a TrueView for this issue. However, you can go to the CoinFacts page and click the view other coins option to see coins that are registered to owners that have a TrueView. These coins might not be for sale. Alternatively, you can run the cert numbers of pieces you find online or at shows and some of those are likely to have TrueView images already. Good luck!

Hmmm...I thought coins only went up, like silver prices...

Can you obtain a TrueView photograph without having your coin being broken out and reholdered by PCGS?
.
Yes, but I don't know how routine it is or if anything has changed. The linked thread has some I had done two years ago at a pcgs LV show (they actually were sent back to pcgs and then back to LV for me to pick up at the show). I and the pcgs rep. at the show wrote on the paper form Do Not Crack Out, In-holder True View Only. Selected the True View option for each individual coin on the form. And yes I was still a little concerned they might get cracked out. The solid ring is better as the two with the prongs are visible.

Yes. I had my GSA CC Morgan's images earlier in the year.

You should be able to view the publicly shared registries, which may contain TVs for your the type coin you are looking for. Whether it's for sale is a whole nother question.
Also, for a fee I'm sure there are coin brokers that will help you in the search. Sabel Rarities comes to mind.
