After 10 days, it's back in Texas! This is the 3rd package I've ordered in the last 5-6 weeks and they have all come from Texas with similar problems, one taking 2 weeks. I have called down there twice now. The last time, even though I thought I was talking to someone in Texas because I dialed the phone number to a distribution center down there, it was actually someone from my local PO and I didn't realize this until after I hung up. How are they going to know what's going on with my package down there? But I have eventually received my coins. Anyone else been having problems with their orders?

Not me. The last package of mine that the post office lost was about 30 years ago, the last one I shipped that was lost was about a year and a half ago.
My recent mailing to Santa Clara, CA left Seattle and then proceeded to Anchorage, Alaska, before routing back south and making it to Santa Clara. 🤷🏼♂️
Same with me. It originated in California, I live in California, instead, the package decided to take a vacation to Washington state and enjoy a few days stay there.
Who knows where it will scan next.
I’ve had similar problems with the Ground Advantage service. Never with Priority mail though.
Not intended as a snarky response but as long as it gets delivered, does it matter?
Package arrived in Columbus on Nov. 22nd. 85 miles from my home. Then went to Chicago, 450 miles away. Arrived there Nov. 26th. " In transit to the next facility " since the 28th. I could have walked it home from Columbus and been home days ago.
Tis the season. The holiday buying season puts more strain on a already strained system.
My shipped on dec 2nd arrived at there Indianapolis distribution center on the 4th it's still there with no update other then it is arriving late.
Same sort of thing except it went to Raleigh NC >>> Pittsburgh Pa. >>>Raleigh NC >>> Pittsburgh Pa >>> my house.

I mailed 10 identical enveloped items to locations ranging from 30 miles from me to 2000 miles from me -- all USPS advantage. The destination 30 miles from me was the last to receive the item and that was 10 days after sending.
My most recent PCGS submission...usually an easy overnight trip from Northern CA to Southern CA.

I recently had a package make it to my sort facility (Chicago suburb) normally that means out for delivery the next day. When I got up expecting out for delivery I was surprised that it had arrived at Fargo North Dakota.
I no longer send anything that’s financially significant with the USPS and instead use FedEx.
My guess is, it's a scanner problem. Aren't the bar codes there to direct where the mail should go? It can't be a human error we're dealing with, right? lol
BTW, it's back to DES MOINES IA....let's keep our fingers crossed!

I have another very recently discovered problem now. When my grandchildren (4 to 7 year olds) come to visit...well, actually when I'm called on to babysit, they love playing with grandpa's phone and computers. I've just noticed I bought a coin I did not want!

I've found that "In transit, Arriving on time" almost always means "In transit, Arriving very late"
My last package that had that status took a vacation to Puerto Rico for a few days.

One of my most recent Ebay sales sent by USPS went from Michigan to Utah. It was headed to a Salt Lake suburb. Then it went to NH, MA and now headed to CO. So going back in the right direction.
I continue to send financially significant items with USPS but only via Registered Mail with insurance.

I know the feeling well.
I am currently going thru the same ordeal for the third time.
My package left the point of origin, spends 8-10 days touring the country and ends back to where it was originaly shipped from.
Still waiting on this one.
I also had a package that was shipped from 2 states over that also toured the country with a stop over in Hawaii before it went back to the continental Usa and then to where the packaged started. It took almost 3 weeks to get it but I did.

Ordered a new camera strap in mid OCT from eBay. Was mailed with a tracking number the next day…. And moved for two days before magically disappearing. Wife and I went on a three week Antarctica expedition departing the last week in NOV…starting in Ushuaia, Argentina….to the Falkland Islands, South Georgia Islands…and back to Ushuaia due to low engine power. Wife mailed us a postcard from the Falkland Islands…..and it arrived the day after we returned home. My ‘lost’ camera strap arrived YESTERDAY…….after almost two months in limbo. So a small island in the middle of NOWHERE got our mail to us in one week…. and the USPS took almost two months to get my camera strap to me. Unbelievable……
