No response at all from @PCGS_Hy which only goes to prove the point they don’t care. I am cancelling my membership and won’t be grading again with PCGS. I’m sad to say this but I refuse to give any more money to this (dis)organisation.
Good luck all and happy grading/collecting/stacking.
Currently looking for Great Britain only George V coins.
Wow -- no announcements or anything - just straight to the icons being placed - I'm honestly not sure how to feel about that. This is probably quicker than the 2024 banner placements, but an abysmal fail on every other metric. I am, however, very relieved that it wasn't a repeat of the 2020 fiasco - My Koala set finally got its 5th consecutive Gold. As did the Kookaburra set that I'm sitting in 2nd place behind - giving him 8 Golds in 9 years. He can finally get his Platinum next year. (And he's already got his 2025 coin on a perfect MS70 set, so there's no way anybody can pass him) -- I mean, as long as they don't change the rules or completely scrap the registry before then...
Many top sets did not get 2025 blue. Also, my #1 complete platinum set with the highest rating, did not get the 2025 blue, the 2nd set was awarded the blue, with a higher grade. Usually set ratings determined the top sets.
Really it all is not worth bothering with anymore.

I found one of my sets that way today -- although I honestly can't be certain if it was that way at the end-of-June cutoff date, and they missed it, or if I'd upgraded my set since then and just forgot. I'm thinking it's most likely the second one... LOL
I guess another unwritten assumption, it would seem the digital album awards have probably been abandoned. And I guess the 30 cent Gold Award Certificates are apparently history too. Our participation here used to actually feel appreciated.
How do they determine the colors of the award banners? I've got about a dozen #1's, but they are all blue. Even those with 15 years in a row as #1. Thanks!
You only live life once, enjoy it like it's your last day. It just MIGHT be!
So from I understand (correct me if im wrong) blue is given automatically for anyone being #1 with 95% completed in said category and gold is the "special" one they give depending on their own criteria, which usually means if you have countries like Great Britain only certain sets will get it that are hard to complete rather than random yearly/denom/type sets.
On self bragging note I just got gold on my first set (and only) from Slovakia: Set Link , last year i graded the second last missing coin 3 days after deadline, I already have bunch of upgrades ready to be slabbed but is making it harder to ship coins to the USA
My collection is so eclectic and "custom", it will never fit the criteria of a PCGS Registry set anymore (perhaps the best I could hope to do is the 8-piece gold Type). I've recently added my inventory to MyCollect, but even that, despite its inclusiveness, does not fit my whole collection, since MyCollect does not support NGC Ancients.
So I'll have to sit on the sidelines and applaud everyone else's awards.
Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.
Received my 1st platinum award this year! This a first me after having many sets on the registry for the last 25 years. Was beginning to think that this year's awards would not be happening so I am so very glad that they did! Appears PCGS only awarded some 64 platinum awards....
Craig If I had it my way, stupidity would be painful!
For the Set Registry awards, we do not have any paper certificates this year. You can find the full listing of awards here: https://www.pcgs.com/setregistry/awards
@PCGS_HyDoes PCGS actually want us to continue supporting the registry? Because it absolutely feels like they really just want us to leave. There was a time that the awards made us feel genuinely appreciated and recognized. Now? It's abundantly clear they just don't care. We used to get actual awards. Something we were proud to hang on the wall, something that made us feel good about the investment we were making into YOUR company. Now, a simple piece of paper is too much to expect? I hope they're not counting on my membership next year.
I am careful to update my PCGS registry inventory whenever I add a new coin. In pre-Hansen set days I received a paper award in 2010.
In June 2025 I received a message from CAC that they were announcing their first round registry awards and that I had two winning sets and one honorable mention. I was genuinely astounded later that same month when CAC sent me my registry awards - three 2024 Silver Eagles in special CAC holders denoting the winning category.
I do appreciate the opportunity to register my PCGS/CAC set within the PCGS registry but CAC surely appreciates their registry participants.
You already know the answer, yet apparently don’t wish to accept it.
You're right - I don't want to accept it. There's no reason a company claiming to be their industry's leader should be so dismissive and apathetic. For me to put my collection into someone else's slabs would probably break the $50K mark, so I have good reason for wanting these guys to at least pretend to give a ****. I know they don't, and I'm sure they won't. And that's more than a little disappointing. They used to be a company I was proud to help grow. Those days are gone

They know that and are banking on you not knowing.
Unfortunately, this is how big business in the USA now works. It’s all about quick, high returns. Wall Street fat cats. Quality product, customer service, and basically everything else be d—med.
The coin business is now just the cash cow for Collectors Universe. It will be milked, starved of funding, and living on its past “glory” until people figure it out and stop paying.
CAC Registry appears to be US only, so they're not a good landing spot just yet (for me, at least -- most of my collections are Australian). MyCollect also has a good start, but still very much in its infancy. Primary difference though, both of those show an active willingness to GROW their service, and I absolutely look forward to what they'll be in a year or two.

Thanks, and yeah, been following their arrivals. The newest batches are either gold or gilded. I've got a couple gilded coins that match, but not enough to make a set. And nothing in the gold ranges (quite a bit beyond my pay grade LOL). One of the bigger growing pains with MyCollect is the coin privacy - it's all or nothing - meaning if you want the public to see what's in your set, they also get to see your ENTIRE inventory. So I've got a bunch of sets that nobody can see. I do hope they can get that one worked out before too long. I've got a bunch of holes in my existing sets still, because it's not recognizing some of the matching coins - and I haven't really pushed that issue since nobody can see 'em anyway. Yet...

I got ten awards, seven blue and three gold. Last year I had only one gold. So, what can I say? Happy and proud!
I got my first banner, blue. I'm somebody now.
