These are going high. Great to see so many collectors interested in history. I didn't expect $60,000+ for all of these so far.

Considering it's a sale of highly limited modern coins in conjunction with the Mint, a website failure is really on point when you think about it.
Was it a dramatic pause?

I wonder how these will hold up over time, other than the lot with dies and very last sets?
2026 Lincolns look nice.
the flowing hair gold with privy are holding up enough that i see them selling over all-in from stacks
Frankly, I can’t see that much $ available in the US hobby. I wonder how much “ foreign money “ went into bidding & buying ? Highest bid was on the final lot at $800K hammer ! Lowest price in the 232 piece lot was I believe $50K.
What I don't understand is that all but one of the lots were the same. Yet interspersed thru the auction were highly inconsistent lots like one lot would be more than twice the previous or following lot amounting to many tens of thousands of $.
Pre-bids and, perhaps, the perception of quality differences

I was watching, not bidding, but internet in building went out about lot 32 or so, had I been seriously intrested, I would have been pizzed. Got a call into spectrum service for fri am.
No lots had different grades some were ms64 with Ms65 for example others had 65 and 66
In addition some people have numbers that they feel are lucky like set 77 or set 108
The Stacks webpage crashed because there were too many fingerprints on the server
Grades within the lot effected the bidding and hammer price for the entire auction.
Many lots had an MS63 grade within the lot and those lots in the first half of the auction typically closed between $46K and $50K depending on the grade of the other coin. Yes, I believe one lot closed at $46K. The second half of the auction took off with even higher prices than the first half for same mixture of graded coins in the lots.
IMO it appeared many bidders thought bidding may weaken, as I did, in the second half. They soon realized they missed the boat or failed to bid aggressively enough in the first half and before they knew it the first half was over. Then bidding became more fierce as the window was getting smaller and smaller to actually win a lot. Just my speculation as I tried to figure out the strategy unfolding.
Since all the gold Lincoln in each lot had the same grade that made it somewhat easy to speculate, after a few sold lots, what the bidders were establishing as a market price (usually within $1K-$2K) based on the grades of the other two Lincoln's within the lot.
Very interesting.
