true to my word, i didn't see a single snap of that game. but i saw the final score right before i went to sleep......at 1:30 am 😏

haven't seen any highlights. but i think i'm good. i'd rather not feast my eyes on OSU whiffing on 3rd & 1 from IU's 5, whiffing on 4th & 1, then with a few minutes left in the game whiffing on 3rd & 1 from IU's 9 and following that up with a missed 27-yarder.

when Ohio St kicked a field goal with 10:08 left in the 2nd quarter, they never scored another point. that is very difficult for me to fathom.

only positive thing going for me this weekend is Stifler one stroke off the lead heading into today's final round. maybe he'll miss a 27-yard field goal on the 72nd hole?

    you too my man!

one last thing about that game. i am never swayed by the opinions of so-called pundits, but i'm always interested in what they have to say. i'd estimate that 95% of the predictions i saw were in favor of OSU, and the overwhelming majority of those covered the spread. but the line movement told a different story, and that made me nervous as hell. before i left to go out i checked it and $ was still coming in on Indiana right up until kickoff, as the line had been driven down to OSU -3.5. almost as if the whales had a predetermined vision of the #1 team in the nation getting inside the 10 two times in the second half -- one of which took place at the tail end of the game -- yet they somehow knew they would combust instead of housing one to win the game. sure enough, the Buckeyes couldn't get a single yard on three separate plays, the kicker missed a bunny, and that was that.

that entire scenario drives me crazy. i'd rather lose a bet by 75 points than eat one with "someone knows something" at the forefront of my mind

I got lucky with Burrow and Allen getting 250.a piece passing but what really made my day was cramming it in Draft Kings rear end by cashing out on my live bets with Baltimore, they got screwed with that TD by Likley so once they got the ball
back I cashed out immediately and it was a good decision

Was down about 240 so hit good in the green

Got nothing going for the 4pm games yet

I pretty much quit gambling. I was going to the casino almost every Saturday, mostly playing table games. Occasional NFL bet. So as a regular once a week customer my rewards card was ‘trail blazer’ level.
Remember this is Boot Hill casino.
Hence the western theme. So a mid level card. So I was getting $50 free table play every weekly visit. Then that dropped to $25 and then to $10. I know they don’t have to give any free play but since they were that’s a pretty big drop off without my amount I was gambling dropping off any. So that ticked me off a little and also my interest in gambling was waning a lot anyway. The only thing I’ll really miss is some of the regulars they have. And they have really nice dealers. 👍

Far as the NFL goes I have self induced my version of the " gov't shutdown".Luck and interest went South. But will regroup.
Thought about making my play choices and $ would of bet, then not making the bets. This, to total the amount I saved by not betting all losing choices. If done it that way from the start of the season i' d be ahead of the game. But where's the fun in that.
But as playoff season arrives the fever will return.

Casinos in general don't really do a whole lot for us regular people, the Whales are the ones that are given the keys but for good reasons like the casino trying to keep them coming back to lose millions.

Using my bonus bets, I placed 90 3 leg parlays for $10 each, 30 3 leg parlays for $5 each, and 12 3 leg parlays for $25 each, mostly on WEEK 14 NFL games with a little NBA thrown in, for a total investment of $1350 in bonus bets.

I've cashed nearly $1400 thus far, and still have a possible $460 worth of winners riding on the Eagles moneyline tonight.

I had a few 100% profit boosts that were about to expire last night, so I invested $60 of my winnings on the Chargers moneyline at +114 boosted to +228 as a small hedge against the Eagles just not having it tonight.

Here's a few of my bigger Eagles tickets that are still alive.

Here's one last ticket with some NBA Cup on Tuesday and Wednesday.

I just saw some highlights of yesterday's action

I had no idea about Pete Carroll kicking that meaningless FG to make the Raiders cover and the Over to hit.with 10 seconds left in the game

Also the Refs were in on it as well tossing a flag on a phantom delay of game penalty on some idiot Broncos player for being on top of a Raider receiver for too long IDK

Dave Portnoy lost his everliving mind over it, he straight up called for Pete Carroll to get murdered lol

edit: that FG cost Portnoy a cool 250k

He can afford it but even so I feel bad for him because it's insufferable watching that type of thing unfold, it had to of cost a lot of people money and that's the rub

It's utterly ridiculous and it's added to the list of brutal things that happen and shouldn't

Every time you bet your in a position to get rewarded or totally screwed by something that happens that shouldn't happen

I keep finding new ways to lose especially with the majority of my bets being prop. bets, I took the nonsense out of picking a team to cover the point spread but inserted another way to find mind boggling things that lose me money

    It's insanity lol

  • perkdogperkdog Posts: 32,810 ✭✭✭✭✭

Honestly that kid Jones #22 is a complete idiot for jumping on him after he was down and clearly touched by his teammate, I actually don't have a problem with that flag if it was during a regular play with time on the clock, it was stupid but no reason to call it with the clock expiring.

Denver bettors should want to. punch that kid just as much as Carroll

Perk, seriously I think you’re going too far. Coaching decisions shouldn’t be made with any concern over how it affects gamblers. What’s wrong with getting three points when you can. Maybe he wants his kicker, holder and snapper to get some work.
Totally ridiculous for Portney to go on a rant. If he doesn’t want to lose money, don’t bet the money. He only had himself to blame.
If things keep going like it is now, gambling is going to ruin sports. Someone is going to get murdered for real. It’s out of hand now and mark my words there’s huge potential for disaster.

Perkdog- what should Pete Carroll be investigated for?
Making a coaching decision that gamblers don’t agree with?
I don’t really know who Portney is but I watched that video and that piece of trash should get his ass kicked by the entire Raiders team.

Portnoy is on brand there. He found a niche with knuckle-draggin' date-rapin' "frat boys" and good for him. I've heard he's actually a nice guy, but he's admittedly a degenerate gambler so there's that.

First of all I would never agree that Carrol should be hurt over this lol

I had no money involved in that game at all so it didn't affect me one bit however I do understand the anger, I understand your thought process sure but getting his kicker some work?

I guarantee that kicker has kicked more balls in practice than he ever will in all his games, maybe that's different so getting him some work is a fair point.

But looking at it subjectively or with an agenda, the entire series of events was pretty crazy, why not throw a hail Mary in the end zone? To kick that FG to put the total points to the over and to cover the spread just screams some type of nefarious intent.

To spike the ball, throw down field then set up for a literally meaningless FG when the outcome has been decided is putting players at risk for injury.

I think the whole thing was completely ridiculous and uncalled for.

    Do I think it's 100% cheating? No I don't, would I be surprised if it was? No I wouldn't.

I've never wished harm on anyone in the sports world, or otherwise, the only people I wish harm on is people who maliciously hurt other people for no reason.

Gambling is my problem not anyone else's and I hold myself 100% responsible for that, nobody else.

I will scream and be pissed off at the outcome but I'm allowed to do that as long as I don't ever take it out on anyone but myself and that's a standard I go by.

It's frustrating entertainment nothing more, I quit gambling for over 10 years when I needed to, now that I have expendable income it's just excitement and fun that can be annoying at times.

I posted the video because it was actually funny, I highly doubt Portnoy meant it, it was all over that crazy turn of events that shouldn't of happened and a reminder that we are not the only ones to get frosted by a bad beat.

I jumped in with 2 more hedge bets mid game with 100% profit boosts, so I had a total of $110 invested to return $380+. An Eagles win would have cashed about $460, but I wasn't going to allow myself that kind of exposure without a safety net.

Anyone hit a prop bet on Hurts turning the ball over twice on the same play? I believe Favre also did that once - and I don't know if that makes it better.

i just have one thing to say

    prison for Jalen Hurts

    4 picks is criminal!

Anyone hit a prop bet on Hurts turning the ball over twice on the same play? I believe Favre also did that once - and I don't know if that makes it better.

That is so unlikely even Draft Kings doesn't have a bet for that lol

I was awarded a no sweat bet, up to $100, so I'm putting the max amount allowed down on some NBA action.

Unbelievable come from behind win with BYU, they were down 22 at the half and stormed back to take the lead 64-60 with less that 2 minutes to go, Clemson ties it with 2 seconds to go, I'm pissed because I don't want OT and BYU launches a 3, the clock expires as the ball is in the air with 0 seconds left and splashes the game winner!

It's interesting how ya click with some teams and some ya don't. Between football and basketball this season, I've had 3 or 4 wins with BYU. They always come thru for me.

On the reverse side, the Clippers are my worst nemesis. Between this season and last season, I've lost I think it's 4 or 5 times with them, with no wins.

Thunder playing tonight. I could envision the books sending this notice out to whales who must be killing the OKC ML this season.

"Sorry due to financial stress, we are capping your OKC ML bets from no limit to 10 cents. We don't want to hear any complaints, and be thankful we're still allowing the 10 cents."

I'm trying to decide which is the safer bet?

OKC ML, or the sun will rise tomorrow morning ML
