Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and it's kind of customary around here to post something you're thankful to own. Let's post a coin, token, or medal that makes you happy to pull out and study.
Here is a rare Good For A Scent token that I've been searching for for well over a decade. Was very happy when it finally crossed my path, as there are only a handful known. Most are unattractive, and this is a happy exception!

Happy Thanksgiving to you all. Thankful for each of you.

Happy Thanksgiving to all 🙂
I immediately regretted passing on this coin in 2019 but did not hesitate when I got a second chance to purchase the same coin in 2023.

The 1912 is a PCGS 64 but looks more like a 65 to me.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of my coin brothers and sisters 😊

A lovely hand me down from a friend and the final piece to my chopped t$ date set (other than totally unreasonable and unlikely upgrades in a couple of spots).

She isn’t a particularly rare lady but she represents so many things I am thankful for. I am interested in early American history and after a trip through the Panama Canal I started reading up on President Theodore Rosevelt’s accomplishments. This led me to the August Saint-Gaudens story. Already a bit of a coin buff, Val and I hunted down this Saint at the first coin show we attended. Later I used my woodworking skills to build a special box to display the Double Eagle.
I was just looking at this one today.
Mostly grateful for my wonderful family, but very glad I stepped up and paid the extra $50 the dealer wanted, to acquire this one 20 years ago. Never been to CAC, I’ll let GC arrange for that when the time comes.
Sometimes it’s the little things that you admire the most. For me, this coin proves that.
Just a run of the mill grade, but what an amazing looking specimen. Slight orange peel fields that are clean as a whistle. I have 64s and 65s that don’t hold a candle to this coin.
That's the nicest 62 I've ever seen! If all 62s looked like that, why would anyone spend the extra cash for higher?

I have several coins that I'm thankful to have. This one is at the top of the list. I have wanted one of these for virtually my entire life. I finally got one in my 69th year.
Lost but later Found:
I sold this coin as part of a trade & only later realized how rare it was. I never thought I would see it again, but 5+ years later, there it was in a GC auction.
While it’s “only” a 64BN, there are only 3 MS examples known.
Happy Thanksgiving to all!

An incredibly rare 1876 Type I/I Trade Dollar (Chopmarked) which a fellow Trade Dollar Collector thought would benefit my collection……..it has and I am extremely thankful to be a “temporary custodian” of a coin that I never imagined I would own.
NICE!!!! Gallery Mint??
This topic is a layup for me. I’ll offer two:
First is this, with the story here: https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/comment/13984933
Second is this set:
2500 N. Marston St. today. Built in 1915.

I have picked up a few but this one edges ‘em out.

Super cool, Jeremy. My own great grandfather was a printer, first in South Philly and then out in Rhawnhurst, with a shop on Castor Avenue, and he saved interesting and collectible coins from the till also, which sparked my father's interest in coin collecting when he was a kid. When my Zaida passed in the late 70's, he left a remnant of his collection to my dad, which is what got me started when I was in grade school. My dad dispersed those coins around the family, but I still have a few of them and I was just admiring them today.
These is a very favorite coin from my collection.

Happy Thanksgiving to all. (edit to add message)
As with @HillbillyCollector I will post a @Desert Moon coin. With only 4 of these known to exist I still don't know how I am fortunate enough to have one of them. Right place at the right time I guess.

My favorite purchases of 2025 (so far). I won’t presume to bore the forums with my life story……but incredibly thankful to be participating in this hobby, and even more so to be able to share it with my kids.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
My late wife gave me this coin for my birthday in 2009. She knew nothing of coins, but she knew I LOVED getting my beautiful full color CVM catalogue every once in awhile, so she reached out to Chris McCawley and they came up with this absolute beauty. It was raw, but Chris liked it as a very choice AU. The pictures aren’t good, the coin is essentially flawless. I had it slabbed and stickered, I thought it would go “gold”. I still have the receipt with the “Happy Birthday!” from Chris M, and this one I’ll never sell. Rest in peace my love, and thank you!
Lucky to own each of these, and each has its own story I remember...............
MWallace - same story, also @ 69!
Some nice coins here!
I really like this one, plate coin in the McCarthy/Kagin book - picture a bit juiced in the book!
Oh...thanks for reminding me of my EPIC FAIL at auction with this coin. Grrrr....
When did you pick up this one? Magnificent!
