Love the 18th century coins - an area I'm working to get more of. Here's one of my better die variety dollars:

@BillJones:
Bill - a 1792? Seriously? Did you ever put it next to your 1855-D G$1? NICE (actually nice coins period). Color me envious!

I don't have many, but I really like the ones I have...
I grew up in NJ and wanted an NJ copper since I was a little kid just starting to collect. As my budget grew, so did my taste, so I kept not getting one. I bought this as a college graduation present to myself.
And since I've always liked the colonial era, I picked this one up along the way, as well
In my quest for a Federal coin dated in the 1700s, I picked up this one a number of years ago:
And one of my more recent pickups, I got this late last year. It's a really tough date, with auction records of just a few spanning the last few decades. This was only the second one Heritage ever sold in any condition. This is the start of a new set for me, so the date was important and many far easier dates wouldn't suffice.

There is something about a coin already 200/300+ years old.

@EastonCollection I love that bisecting reverse crack!
GREAT BRITAIN. Mint Error -- Double Struck -- 1/4 Penny, ND (1672-79)
Colombia over date 1777/6-JJ 8 Escudos

Here's a smattering....

And didn't see a Mass half cent yet

My current "Box of 20"
I'll add in a couple of colonials. The first is a Chalmers 3 Pence, grade AU53+. I got this from CRO a few years ago.

The second I'll add is a New York Excelsior. It's graded VG8. I was lucky enough to win it in a Heritage auction.

OK.
That's enough for now.

An interesting coin. Struck over a TAL. You can see the rigging and York.
That’s awesome.

Whenever I see emails like this I cringe because I know I’ll feel like crap after studying the coins posted. Most of these are coins I could never afford but I appreciate folks wanting to share and earn some bragging rights too.
I live for threads like this. Makes my whole morning. @chesterb , the trick, for me at least, is to see this as an opportunity to see some dazzling coins that I get to enjoy without the added cost of having to sell my wife, first born child and live in a refridgerator box for the next decade. james
This Early Dollar set is absolutely awesome!
my meager offerings...
