One suggestion is a set of Ferdinand VII 8 reales imaginary bust issues from Mexico, Chile, and Peru, plus the Charles IV busts from Guatemala and Colombia with Ferdinand VII legends, and backdated Bolivian 8 reales. Lots of cool transitional pieces from 1808 to 1812.
First ancient coin purchase. 5 strike with 3 surfaces, but unfortunately brushed. Have long wanted to add one of these to the collection and I think this is a nice example. It’s the strong strike I think that got me.
Love the various LA Spanish colonial coins I’ve been lucky enough to purchase over the past few months. INow all I need is an actual direction or concentration if you will …..beyond just coins I find very appealing, which is a lot of fun in and of itself….but I’m a set collector at heart

Arrived yesterday, a hefty penny sized token/medalette from 1797 catalogued by Dalton & Hamer as Warwickshire 38a depicting St. Michael's church (later Coventry Cathedral). Included was the original paper wrapper it came in.

Snagged this at a smaller local show on Saturday. My pics are awful, but some really nice blue coloring on the reverse. Will be cracked and sent to to our hosts along with a bunch of other stuff at Baltimore later this week. Here it is in ANACS form.
I would say “small” mintage of just 6001, but that’s around 6000 times more abundant than some other stuff that’s popped up in this forum recently. I don’t normally collect proof coins at all but there’s some pretty cool issues that have come from the land of my ancestors (one of them anyways).
Picked these and a few others up from a European auction. I know when these
are listed the listing has the term " Moesia Superior". Any knowledge that the
members could share with me would be greatly appreciated.

Took my daughter back to the Baltimore show today and was pumped to see John and Maryanne from CRO still behind their table (side note: I have all the respect in the world for dealers who hang for Saturdays……my daughter had been looking forward to this show for weeks!).
I’d been gazing at this coin on the site for awhile. Had a chance to check it out on Thursday and loved it…..but Id made a few other big purchases that day to compete my US 7070 set so didn’t pull the trigger.
When I saw it still available at noon on Saturday I wasn’t going to pass it up again.
From today’s Richard August Stacks Auction. After wrapping up all the coins I needed for my 7070 in Baltimore over the weekend I’m ready to dive into some world coins from early America.

This one will be interesting to get in hand. I like the look of the Stacks photos…..the TVs seem to tell a slightly different tale. These were my first ever purchases of these types so I’ll be very interested to study both once they arrive.
I know you guys have/are picking up some sweet coins from Richard Augusts ridiculous array of cool stuff. Don’t hold back from posting em now boys……
@JohnnyCache I went ahead and cranked up a World Coins from Early America registry set after you recommended and listed the link a few weeks back. Really appreciate you (and all of you on the Dark Side board). It’s very easy to both learn and be inspired hanging out over here!
First one ever. Normally on auction sites I try to scroll through the ancients as quickly as possible to get to the world coins I may be interested in, and I was doing exactly that when this grabbed my eye somehow. The squirrel in me struck again and I chased after something (toned).

I won this token this morning in Amsterdam. A manufacturer of coinage presses. This one replaces the heavily cleaned example in my collection.
