Frankly, I would have had the kid make his first NFL start on the road. A lot less pressure than trying to please the home fans who are likely going to be quick to boo. But the Giants front office hasn't been doing anything right, so why should they begin now?

Perhaps the front office thinks the "novelty" will put more keisters in the seats. That one they may be right about.

Could be management feels Darts debut in front of a home, less hostile road crowd might be more welcoming. Setting him at ease. Of course until he throws 3 INT's leading to scores 😆

Very tough situation, no doubt about it. That being said, I do think the Giants made the right decision to let the kid play, gain experience, and build on that.

Not always the case of course, but it's said that usually the most improvement a NFL player makes, is from his rookie season to his second season. So get this rookie season out of the way, then head into next season and the Giants can better see what they've got. Whether it's gold or pyrite.

Nice controlled first win for the kid Dart with no picks.

Maybe the Giants have finally found a winner.

First rookie QB to go undefeated in their first start since the last guy.

He should be good but they also lost Nabers which is a massive loss because of that god awful turf that causes a ton of leg injuries over multiple seasons to multiple people

After watching the Giants beat the Eagles easily last Thursday, I am reminded of the scene from the old movie “Major League” between two groundskeepers: “Hey, you know these guys might not be too effing bad.”

As for the Jets, it might be a long season.

Denver surprisingly won, they just didn't seem interested in putting the Jets away, usually when you let teams hang around it bites you

That's what Pittsburgh is doing today with the Browns. 3 FG,s only for the Steelers.

Have the wheels fallen off in Baltimore and been sent to the junkyard? Two quick Rams touchdowns and the Ravens are down 17-3. One and five is not a good sign.

Maybe they are all too old. Derrick Henry seems to have the lost touch. Running backs have the shortest careers.

As an Eagles fan, I hate to say, but Barkley might be in the same position.

I had mentioned this before the season began, that the career wear on Barkley, particularly last season, might affect him this season.

No complaints at all with Saquon. Without his effort last season, the Eagles wouldn't have gotten to the Super Bowl. Whatever amount he signed for, it was well worth it.

A bad knee with a running back usually isn't a good sign. Hopefully not, but if he's done, then he's done.

Hard to believe the Saints and Ravens are 1-5.

The Saints are not a surprise. They have been mediocre for years. How do you think the Tampa Bay Bucks have won so many division titles with little better than a .500 record?

The Ravens are something else. If they keep this up, they will be mathematically out of the playoff picture in a few weeks.

I hate the Ravens so I'm enjoying their 1-5 start

They are one of my “second tier” favorites because of the many Baltimore conventions I have attended in the area. I also grew up sort of rooting for the Baltimore Colts, after the Eagles, in the Unitas era.

    Pasted:

Giants fire head coach Brian Daboll

The Giants are going with offensive coordinator Mike Kafka as their interim head coach.

Bears fan here who never sugarcoats his thoughts

watched the entire game against the Giants yesterday. before Dart left due to a concussion, they were the better team in large part because of him. we did not have an answer for his dual-threat capabilities. i've watched him play a handful of times this season and i'm telling you the G-men have a good one. get Nabers back, add a couple of more legit weapons and the Giants are going to be a handful in coming years. at least on offense.

i also want to say that when he exited, Russell Wilson was forced to enter. that guy is just pitiful now. to the point where i felt sorry for him yesterday. he had the look of a dude who had never played QB before. just clueless in the pocket and was a sitting duck to get drilled every time he dropped back to pass. he used to have top-notch mobility, and it's all but gone now. his drop-off has been remarkably steep.

if Dart doesn't get hurt, the Giants win that game. typing that doesn't necessarily bring me joy, but it's what i genuinely believe to be true. i would take him over a guy like Bo Nix every day of the week and twice on Sunday. he can run, he can throw, and he makes improvisational plays like he's been in the league for 10 years.

quick, give me a receiver not named Malik Nabers who plays for the Giants. then name one of their running backs. exactly. he was bringing a peashooter to an AK-47 fight, and he was about to kill my team. he's the real deal.

as for the Jets, there's little to say. they, unlike the Giants, have nothing to look forward to. similar to the team they beat yesterday.

I saw a hypothetical trade proposed for Chiefs - Browns a few years ago - after one of the Chiefs SB wins.

Chiefs trade [Entire team to Cleveland]

Cleveland trades [1st + 2nd round picks for next 45 years]

    Win - Win!

Best thing the Giants can do at this point is just play for a draft pick. Keep Dart on the sidelines and let Wilson be the cannon fodder for the rest of the year.

If they can get them all healthy Dart, Nabers, and Skattebo are going to be a real problem for defenses that are also really fun to watch seeing them all healthy as a group

he somehow managed to escape my memory. long Monday, i guess.

get those two back and perhaps upgrade their WR2 and they'll be very formidable

they even have a TE who made some great catches yesterday

Giants fans can put on their shades because the future is bright

Jets & Browns fans.......not so much

I like Dart a lot and hes really good at spreading the ball around. Skattebo can catch too. Another WR thats even just good or above average would go a long way along with some line help.

I really hope they dont turn this into a Tua situation with concussion after concussion with Dart with how many designed runs they do with him especially when the other weapons are out and everyone is focused on him.

Jets and Browns theyre at the Ill believe it when I see it point they have messed things up for so many years
