From a visit to one of Yokohama's unique museums - A museum devoted to the outward migration of Japanese to other countries. Included is this exhibit relating to migration to Brazil:
Some will recall the post-war song, “Blue Lights of Yokohama.”
Today Yokohama is lit with a Kaleidoscope of colors emanating from the Giant Ferris Wheel that dominates its skyline and has become Yokohama’s symbol.
First built for a 1989 Yokohama Exhibition (YES 89) it was positioned in its present location ten years later. When built it was the largest Ferris Wheel in the World and still holds the distinction of being the largest Ferris Wheel with a clock mechanism,
In this video not only witness a light show in its entirety, but also experience night views of Yokohama which include its harbor spanning bridge.
Listen and you can even hear the blarin horn of a ship in the harbor.
