Designation on the label is not necessary, as long as the coin is a pedigree.

Partrick. Love his pedigree on Vermont coppers, one of my passions. This one is an absolute honey. You can’t see it on the pics but it has the ‘85 date on the obverse from the Nova undertype. This one is a keeper.

I know it's a losing battle but.......
*provenance
I’ll start with a handful from the late (& great) Stewart Blay:
The only 66+ graded (there is a S-1 designated coin so graded).
The Shallow N variety is much rarer than the Bold N. Even more so, the RD designation for the 1871 IHC is also very rare. Some acknowledge this is the finest known example.
Stewart bought RD, period! This toner is a notable exception.
He also amassed a great set of Barber dimes.
Unfortunately, I don’t own any of the patterns (to my knowledge) he also collected.

Omaha Bank Hoard - great story.

All my coins come with the highly coveted Jimtyler pedigree. You will get a certificate of authenticity written on a napkin. Bought too many napkins by mistake.

I don’t think I’ve posted any other of my coins more than this one. If it’s not my favorite, it’s pretty close!
This one with David Hall, who needs no introduction. But mine pales in comparison to Eldo’s (@Eldorado9).

IMO, this example is right there with the 3 67RD’s!
Fully brilliant.
A thread of double, even multiple pedigrees of the same coin would be interesting. This one was also once owned by Stewart Blay.
