Rather than dig up an old thread https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/707231/numismatic-advertising-tokens-medals , I thought I would start a new one.

Let's see what you got!

I have some Andy Lustig tokens around here somewhere. And a Bowers & Merena.
None that I have, though I recall some Civil War Storecards promoting coin dealers.

Don't forget the many, many Patrick Mint cent size dealer medals issued during the Bicentennial era. A book on those tokens, "The Bicentennial Tokens of the Patrick Mint" was published in 1977. More varieties of those cent tokens were issued after 1976 as well. There are also large numbers of 27mm dealer medals issued by the Patrick Mint over the past 30 years or so.

How about a modern?
Brutal cell phone pics notwithstanding, I think this is pretty cool….and from a great dealer (and guy).

Here are a couple of poor images of J.H. Klien token, copy of a 1916 Standing Liberty quarter on one side and his advertisement on the reverse.
I also have several (pictures won't upload for some reason) of his store care on one side of an enlongated Standing Liberty Quarter and I have them on quarters dated 1926, 1927, 1929 and 1930. I will try to upload pictures when I am able to sort out why they won't.
Another Klien store card/advertising piece on an elongated Standing Liberty quarter dated 1927. I have them on quarters dated 1925, 1927, 1929 and 1930.
ohhh slq. sweet
@Klif50 I recall those JH Cline tokens and elongated SLQs very well. I don't own any, but I do remember him having them at his table at shows. Here is something I do own-
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
Very nice! I met Mr Cline in Atlanta at the big show about 8 or 9 years ago. It was my birthday and my wife talked him into giving up his last copy of the Grey Sheet that featured him and the SLQ and he autographed it for me. I found one of the elongated quarters at that show and then the rest, along with the 1916 quarter on Ebay. I continue to look for them and am always on the look out for dates I don't have.

We used these for thirty plus years as placeholders when we sell a coin…
You need a good one
Latin American Collection
I don't have it handy but in the 1970s a dealer named Williges sent out a store card/good for token (good for 25 cents if I recall correctly) with orders.
