Finished with dual grading and should be home some time next week. Between the short lived nature of the restaurant and the time that has elapsed, these are tough to find. There are twenty total graded examples from the restaurant split almost down the middle between the two examples. This is just the second signed example of the kneeling variation and it’s tied for highest graded at ‘Poor’. The mint signature and dated postmark are both clear and well placed and help shift the focus off the tapes stains. Here it is in all its glory…

Love it. Congrats. I think those Donruss Optics are such cool cards. He had a game last year where I had to rush out and get 3 of his 2016 Donruss Optics but dont think I have the yellow red variety and certainly not with a cool auto and inscription.
Think I had to have them cause I realized every guy with 12,000 yards rushing has been a HOFer. He is about 130 away now. Also just a huge fan.
The Derrick ties to a purchase I made. Its not a card but I like it. I had to get a hotel room in Baltimore and one that overlooked Camden Yards felt like the best option. And then behind it you can see where Derrick has been adding to the rushing totals.
Kind of cool too cause I read where the Orioles let the Rams use Camden Yards as a practice field before they headed overseas and you can see the yard markers. Think I must have just missed them though.
Agree Monte - one of my first purchases from Greg Bussineau of many different companies was a trimmed T3 when I first started collecting - never thought of measuring when I started - I just got it back from PSA - authentic tho a pretty nice one to look at - that was 35 yrs ago!

Hello all, I could use some advice on this card lot I purchased from a guy I met at a yard sale. I paid $400 for the this lot of high grade cards, which I felt was pretty fair. 30 1959 Topps, 125 1960 Topps, 20 1960 Leaf, and 12 1959 Three Stooges. I also got a huge stack of beat up 1975 Topps baseball.
All of these cards are sharp and crisp. A few have issues (dinged corners, wax stain, and so on). I don’t have much experience with super nice vintage so I am not sure how to best handle these. I would likely keep the stars and possibly sell the commons and doubles. I am not worried about recouping costs, just curious if anyone has advice on best practices: sell individually, as lots, grade best condition including commons, and so on.
I was extremely happy to land these cards! I don’t believe there are any high value rookies, but there is definitely some serious HOF Star power.

With remaining ones, it’s about what do you want to accomplish?
You can maximize profits by selling them on these boards to members with good reputations or by auctioning off each card individually (just factor in shipping and handling and ebay fees) starting at .99 cents and going off in prime time 9pm-1am EST to try to include both coasts. You’ll need to pack and ship them well so factor in the actual cost and price accordingly!
You can also place the items with collectors you think would appreciate them that you know and give them a good deal on the cards.
Either way, recouping 400 looks like it should be easy. How much more is really up to you and how much work you want to put into them.

One more thing - if you intend to get them graded, I would rate every card from closest to a ten to furthest away and then start with some of the best condition star cards, send them to PSA and see how they grade out. If they should come back graded 8 or better, then it’s possible that some of the sharper commons might also be worth grading, too.
Throw them in some card savers in the interim.

Wow, that's in pretty incredible shape for the age of it. Was going to pass on somewhere here, and thanks for the opportunity 😁, that I just happened to be walking down the street in Baltimore and passed the Convention Center and saw that Comic Con was happening right then. I'm not a huge comics guy but I had nothing to do for the rest of the day so dropped in. Cause its a cool experience just to observe! Then took a pic of the CGC line and this was 3:00 on a Friday and was thinking Ouch. Hope you didn't have to wait in a line like that.

Putting my handcutting skills to the test once again, I went 4/5, so I can't be mad at that.
The other cards were Ron Cey PC gap fillers that I knew weren't high grades.
Some were on point, while several were (-1) to (-2) the expected grade, and a couple of head scratchers, one being a PSA2.
Not sure what happened there.
I did get several reasonable offers and I did sell 5 of the cards.
It's possible I could have auctioned them off for more, but you never know with oddball stuff.
The 1971 OPC baseball set build has been a slow go the last few months. I started the year needing 138 and with this Banks 5th series card I now need 106. I am finding the 5th series to be tougher than the 6th (I need 60 5th series and 29 6th). I know the less I need, the harder it will be to complete the set and I figure it will take several more years. This is my first KSA graded card. I am impressed with the holder - it is definitely sturdy like an SGC holder. A nice surprise was that I bought it on eBay from a Canada seller, expecting to pay the additional 35% but the card was shipped from Niagara Falls, NY.
A question. If the player on a rookie card is a non-Hall of Famer (utility player) or does not even make it to the big leagues…how can his signature be verified since there are probably no known examples?

There are reasons that seem valid but it's probably more personal preference than not. I don't what it would do for value. My preference is to just have the HOFers on this one.

Still going for a 9 on this one. Tough with the dual. Turned out really nice as an 8.
Very Nice. You should have had 4SC submit this for you as you most likely would be looking at a PSA 9 and 10.
