Wow, 20 years of nothing on this thread between the recent two posts. I wonder if that was a CU board resurrection record for digging out old stuff from the archives?
20 years ago there was actually a Non-Sports Forum on this board that a number of us pushed into existence. I'm not sure when it disappeared.

I really miss the non-sports forum and finding this thread was like a trip down memory lane. I collect the sets I like and am fond of cards having to do with wacky cars like Topps Weird Wheels and Odd Rods and Odder Odd Rods. The thing that really gave my collecting a boost was when I found TCDB.com It's a free site and has checklist and some photos of many sets I didn't even know existed that really gave my collection a boost. They have sports cards and non-sports cards so it's a great way to get organized and they have a lot of collectors selling and trading cards so you can fill slots pretty easily.
Good luck and happy non-sports collecting.
Don't forget to subscribe to "The Wrapper" it's one of the few non-sports magazines still being published. You can find back issues on ebay for 6 to 8 bucks a copy and the covers tell the story of what sets are being highlighted in that issue.
I miss the Non Sports forum also. People used to post pictures of all kinds of interesting cards.
It wasn't the most active forum, but it never made sense why they got rid of it.
