To my fellow forum members.
My time on the forums has been a benefit to me and has contributed to my enjoyment of our favorite hobby. I have enjoyed interacting with forum members over the years, including meeting many of you in person.
My oldest son (Christopher, age 34) is in the hospital with life threatening problems, the outcome of which is unknown at this time.
Word of his hospitalization has spread far and wide, resulting in an outpouring of love and support for him and his family that has been and is unbelievable (including people immediately dropping what they are doing and driving hundreds of miles to visit my son). Truly an example of the best of people.
So I have decided to post this thread, inform the forums of the above.
Please post a 1991 coin for my son and if you choose to do so, say a prayer for his recovery.

Dear Forum members.
I want to thank all of you who responded to my initial post in this thread regarding my eldest son. I appreciate your thoughts and prayers for his recovery.
He went into the hospital ER on 9-30-2025. On the morning of 10-1-2025 he was transferred to the ICU. On Friday, 10-3-2025 we were told that he would shortly pass away. However on 10-4-2025 he showed some improvement. He is still with us and is stable. The future is unknown at this time and we hope and pray everyday that he will recover.
Please continue praying for his recovery.

With sadness and heartache I give this update to this thread.
My oldest son (Christopher, age 34) passed away on 11-10-2025. A child passing away before their parents is simply not supposed to be the way things work.
My son was a public school teacher in the San Jose, Cal. school district. He taught middle schoolers and he taught English. My understanding is that it is possible that a 20 year scholarship fund in the name of my son will be established at his school. In the event that happens I will post information about it to the forums and would welcome any donations.
Regardless of their age tell your children you love them, hug them and value every moment you have with them.
