Whats up with the B in Liberty on the shield?

Looks like a strike thru on the shield.
MS63
Toning is even over the whole shield, so the trouble could be as minted.
I go w/UNC Details. Shame, but a common date.
This is a straight grade CAC coin (as are all coins for this experiment), feel free to guess again.

Looks very nice and pretty much mark free except for the strike-thru (which I think is very cool!), although I suspect the luster is a little subdued.

That shield has seen things in battle.
I’m in the 58 camp.

Clean enough for a 65, but the luster appears subdued in the images.

I agree. It looks like a very nice attractive 58. It's not my series but I bet it's one of the finest 58's.
When I first looked, I said a strong AU58 or a nice MS64.

After thinking on it a bit, I’m going with MS64.👍

Would like to tilt the coin in hand.

Very light chatter, original surfaces; if it has good luster it should be near gem, so around MS64.

Before I looked at others’ guesses, I thought 62. Have no idea how graders would account for the flaw since it’s apparently as-minted.

Reveal is MS64! Forum guessed MS62, 2 grades off. Among the worst forum performances for the experiment, likely due to the number of 58 grades.
