Copper-Nickel Flying Eagle & Indian Cents Color Discussion

I have no examples currently to post. I’m hoping you guys can help with that…

In the past, I have owned several examples of nice uncirculated, flying eagle and Indian cents.

I know there is no color designation, they’re basically treated like gold or silver or even nickel in that regard, just the grade

But any specialist will know there are various colors that can be found on these and it’s basically toning…

The way I understand it, and please correct me if I’m wrong, but the most original surface on either would be very much a light cream soda, color, and then as they’re toned in certain environments, they can get kind of an almost bronze color…

Any discussions and examples that are posted would be greatly appreciated. I’ve been trying to find an example with this lighter cream soda color, which would be the equivalent of a white silver coin, does anyone have examples to show? And then of course, the toned ones that look more like bronze… I would love to see many examples.

Let’s see what you got! And any discussions, let’s have them!
