This is one of my Walkers. But it is without a doubt the prettiest coin I own when held in hand -- far better than the its TrueView picture -- an absolute stunner. Why it wasn't given a higher grade than it was is a complete mystery to me. Another coin I need to send to CAC.

It's beautiful! I like it a lot, but I wonder what's happening on the reverse rim at 6 o'clock.

Perhaps my most beautiful half is a 1939-D MS66 Walker I bought from @MarkFeld when he was a dealer 18 years ago. It has large golden-orange streaks of toning deepening to red across the obverse, with some blue patches near the rim. The reverse is light golden with gold-orange along the rim. Russ started a funny thread about entitled "A Walker that fell from the top of the yum yum tree." According to @JJM, apparently, it was grown in "you suck" soil. I wish I had a nice photo of this coin. I also wish Russ and his buddy, Scumnuker, were still around.

However, @bammbamm, I think your toning is even more beautiful than my 39-D.

Thanks @Barberian. Glad you like my Walker. I'm sure your 1939-D is a beauty also. You can see some of the pretty toning in the photos. Although the pictures don't do it justice I'm sure, especially with the reflective glare of the light off of the plastic sleeve the coin is in.

Regarding your question about what you see on the reverse rim at 6 o'clock of my coin. It's only a tiny scratch in the toning on the rim that's reflecting brighter metal. It's not a rim deformity or nick as it looks like in the TrueView pictures. The TrueView pictures exaggerate the different densities of the toning along the rim, just as they mute the bright blue colors in the toning. The coin has so much more vibrancy and definition in hand.

And thanks for sharing the thread about the story of your coin.

Oh, and interestingly, when I purchased the 1941 Walker in 2023, it was in an ANACS holder. I cracked it out and sent it into PCGS this spring.

@boiler78 I was going to post a picture of one of my coins, but I am darned if I will post it immediately after your stunner. It would be like taking a friend to McDonald's immediately after they ate at a Michelin star restaurant. What am AMAZING coin! I've always wanted a Morgan pattern but I expect that if I do manage to get one, it will likely be a dime or some lower denomination because the prices are also lower. :)

I found this 1909 last week with my metal detector making it my most beautiful half dollar.
