Since I didn't see a thread for the IMEX 2025 show - who here is attending or thinking about it?

I think the small amount of dealers will doom this event. With the high cost cf Nashiville and lack of collectors base? Why not throw whoever is left to attend a bone and a novel thought and have no admission.

Good idea. My wife will be with me, so $20 for 60ish dealers, kind of crappy

FB promotion guess you forgot here :# when the other poster asked about updated bourse list which they eventually found a couple of months later.

What happened to the grandiose plans in intial PR release?

Epic failure awaiting can we expect a post show statement

never forgot the forums and we have been posting updates daily on our social media pages

PCGS just sent out a email this week about the show as well…. Lots of great things for the collectors who come.

    See you in two weeks.

Lot of great dealers attending lot of great surprises planned. We expect a strong turnout and the show has been promoted strongly for over a year. Come and see for yourself

After the last time, why? If you really have "lot of great surprises planned," it's in your interest to to disclose them so people can make an informed decision, rather than simply encouraging them to spend time and money to take a trip to Nashville to see what's behind Door #3.

This, or should we expect Steve Forbes to do a swan song peddling another book and more conspiracy theories.

Nashville has great potential for a show city. It’s relatively easy to get there. There’s a wide range of activities in the city. Too bad the show can’t coincide with a Nashville Predator or Tennessee Titans game in the fall when the weather is much friendlier.

Thanks for the kind words! We agree—Nashville is an awesome, easy-to-reach city with tons to do, which is exactly why we chose it. IMEX runs September 4–6, 2025, and while that’s just before most home games kick in, the early-September timing gives attendees great hotel rates and plenty of space in the convention center. We’re already exploring future dates that could overlap with Predators/Titans home games when the venue calendar lines up—personally I love that idea. Reminds me of when the Baltimore coin show lines up with some of the baseball games there...

Hope to see you in Music City! If you need info on badges, dealer tables, or travel, I’m happy to help. Jon

Thanks for the feedback. I understand where you’re coming from—transparency is important, and that’s exactly why we’ve been steadily rolling out details rather than trying to play “Door #3.”

IMEX 2025 isn’t about gimmicks or politics. It’s about bringing collectors, dealers, and the broader numismatic community together in one of the most accessible and exciting cities in the country. We’ve got confirmed exhibits (including the Ship of Gold), strong dealer participation, and yes—and a few surprises in the works!

Our focus is to create a first-class event that celebrates coins and collectibles, not to rehash the past. I hope you’ll consider giving IMEX Nashville a fresh look—it’s shaping up to be a show worth attending.

Is there a consideration to amending or dropping the $10 admission fee? You must admit the amount of dealers setting up has been really exaggerated since the beginning. This week we learned instead of 400 dealers, there is 60. A lot of us have set travel plans based of this being a pretty large show.

Nice of promotor to charge $10 a DAYor 3 days for $25.

With al small amount of dealers it would seem you can see it all in a couple of hours or day and no reason to go next days and also pay whatever going rate parking is $15+-.and another $10 each day + gas etc.

Guess that’s the business model get those who actually attend for all you can get and not make an effort to get general market. This area is high income and should be marketed to? Has it?

In comparison the much larger show in Rosemont ILL with 200+ is charging $10 ALL DAyS

The promotor does not seem to answer our questions, just replies that everything will be great, come on down! Would be nice if we could get a reasoned response
