1974 Topps baseball wrong back/error card questions

Hello to all. I have a key 1974 Topps baseball card graded PSA 8 with the correct PSA label describing the card as picture on the front. However, no mention of the obvious wrong back to the card. I don't believe PSA has ever recognized these errors or to my knowledge ever graded any with "wrong back" or "error" in the label. Did PSA ever grade wrong backs but just never acknowledged them as errors? The cert number on the card I own is a very old number and this error may have slipped through the grading process. If I try to sell the card as is, would PSA deactivate the cert number upon knowledge of the obvious error? Thanks in advance.

I don't believe a card like that is considered a true error card. Your card has someone on the front and someone else's stats on the back. If submitted today it probably be labeled like this one:

Thanks athleticsfan. That is very interesting. Maybe I will contact customer service and see if I can send it in for a new label. With all of the numerous error backs from the 1974 series you would think PSA would have had a few labeled like the 89 Fleer in your example. But I checked eBay and found no history of such a label anywhere for 1974.

Thank you for the posts. I see that that all of the comments were made in 2012 and 2013. I'm curious to know if PSA has changed their stance on grading/labeling these errors since 2013. In my opinion, any PSA graded star card (hall of famer, key rookie) from that set, with an error back, has to be more valuable than the normal variety with the same grade just because of the rarity of the error. I would think that PSA would love to grade these errors so collectors could enter them into their master registry sets.
