1868-S 50C NewP

The half is a recently CACed example. The P58CAC population had been two for a long time. This third example is quite comparable with one of the two existing P58CAC coins; the other being less toned. The look in hand is very nice with clean fields and devices – though the strike does not appear as strong as the others. Great to add it to the collection!

    That's a tough date and could end up in an MS holder on the right day at the grading shop. It's also one of the rare occasions where I like the TV better than the GC photo (which looks like the white balance is off a bit).

    Closer to the Trueview. The rose tint is overemphasized in the GC photo.
