That's MLB. This is a NFL thread.

Perhaps you're just forgetting that the New York Giants baseball team moved to San Francisco in 1958. 😉

For all intents and purposes, it is official.

Eli Manning and Joe Namath aren't coming back anytime soon. LOL

As bad as the Giants and Jets are, I was a little bit surprised to see this:

    NYC Youth Football League teams

    Bayside Raiders
    Bronx Knights
    Brooklyn Panthers
    Bronx Warriors
    Brooklyn Skyhawks
    Brooklyn Warriors
    Greenpoint Spartans
    Grind Academy
    Kings Bay
    LBX Empire
    New York Giants
    New York Jets
    New York City Lions
    Queens Falcons
    Springfield Rifles
    Van Cortlandt Titans

Oh the Giants and Jets rate that high against youth football programs in NY? lol

The next drop in class for the Giants and Jets would be the NYC grannies football league.

I think they might have a chance there.

In all seriousness, it is pretty remarkable how those two franchises continue to effectively perpetuate a losing culture

I mean, really, if you have either 36-year-old, running-on-fumes Russell Wilson now on his 4th team or 26-year-old, quasi-bust Justin Fields now on his 3rd as one of your signal callers, how can anyone of sound mind be excited about this upcoming season?

If I'm a fan of either of those teams I'd go find a bottle of drain cleaner and chug it

you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet

    week 1 lines:

Van Cortlandt Titans (-17.5) at NY Giants

Greenpoint Spartans (-22) at NY Jets

you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet

Another problem these teams may have, NYC is likely going to have a new mayor in November, who is very keen on raising taxes to the rich. There is little doubt one of his first targets is going be those two NFL teams and the NFL players. That being said, with the Giants and Jets playing in New Jersey, I'm not sure how that affects their tax structure. If the Giants and Jets are headquartered in NYC, which I'd have to guess they are considering they've kept "New York" in their team names. I'd have to think if the mayor increased the city wage tax, it would apply to them.

What this simply means is that during free agency, the Giants and Jets are going to have a tougher time attracting top players because of a very high city wage tax.

Who knows, maybe it'll all will work out for the two teams. But it sure appears that their downward slide may get even worse.

Probably most here have seen the Tom Brady roast. I've watched many roasts on Youtube, and this one was the best ever. All the roasters did a great job, including Brady when he was up there at the end.

I liked the Brady line when he was roasting the comedians on the dais. He mentioned their names, then he said, "Who picked this chitty lineup, the Jets front office?" LOL

Some alternate entertainment options this fall for New York City area fans of the NFL:

Take long walks in Central Park. Just be on the lookout for muggers.

Fishing in the Hudson River. If you hook a dead body, just detach the hook, and release the body back into the water.

Shopping downtown. See the Central Park warning.

Take a ride on the subway. Be careful not to sit on any needles.

Visit the Bronx Zoo. New York City is so broke, they can’t afford animals. But they’ve placed life size cardboard pictures of the animals inside the cages, which almost look lifelike.

Could have been "hotter", but I didn't want to risk my avatar serving 30 days behind CU prison bars. 😂

With the upcoming NFL rule changes, the good news is the Giants and Jets may score on the average around 10 more points per game.

The bad news is the opponent may score 20. 😆
