Mine shipped from Dallas in the east coast batch which I believe has been the first batch out many times. Still after many years there are always so many exceptions it is impossible to tell what method they use .

I didn't see that one coming. At this point the mint will have to issue a statement about why their sales numbers in the next report will have dropped so significantly. Surely there can't be this many cancellations?

Can any statement at this point be credible?

After this debacle, well I definitely still need to purchase my beloved USMC privy and I'll probably get a Navy one to round out the set but that's it. I am more than likely done with the mint at this point. RGDS!

When they began reprocessing CC's for shipping, some CC's didn't make the cut imo. More cancelled orders from some small flippers? That too.

17468 Something is totally twilight zone with this. Tracking the numbers as an 'academic exercise' has been insightful. Some days few were sold. Other days about one hundred in a matter of a few hours and onward.
    Credibility down the tubes !!

I wonder whether the Minty just decides to close the doors at whatever the sold number eventually is and thereby reduce the 'mintage' population by the left over number to be melted. Didn't flowing hair total mintage get reduced by a few thousand?

I don't think the Mint has anything to explain. This is simply not that popular. If you accept that, the one who needs to explain is Pinehurst.

I don't know that you can say they aren't popular. An order, even if it is cancelled, is an expression of demand. If the orders were fraudulent or fake, then that's a different story but I don't think that is the case. I'm also not sure how you can say that a coin that has solidly pre-sold at least 80,000 units 4-6 weeks is not popular.

Edited to add: I bet Dan Carr would love to have a coin he could sell 80k of.

Still too early for the success or fail test.

Armed services privy will be a good one down the road...if they do not mess up the privy releases and blow the whole thing up. I know that is a big if.

    Mintage was 17,000….changed to 10,000.

I didn't say they weren't popular. I said they weren't THAT popular. There is zero evidence of 100,000 collectors. Everyone who is blaming the mint vthinks they should be hot and 100,000 mintage is low enough to sustain their value. That simply does not appear to be true.

Lift the HHL and actually ship the damn things then the ATS will quickly = 0. It's as simple as that. RGDS!

Separate point. And also not necessarily true. There are 18,000 coins left. You ASSUME there are 18,000 unsatisfied users. They lifted the HHL in the Superman coins... not sold out. It is possible that they're aren't 100,000 people who care about the privy. You might at least entertain the possibility. Just because you want the coin to be in high demand doesn't mean it will be.

I believe that 18K number to be bogus. No way that many remain unless the BIGS are returning them by the pallet. Highly unlikely. THKS!

I currently have $550 in the game, I want at least a couple of these absolute GEMS for my private collection if/when/want/able to flip the remainder, perhaps or perhaps not. Lift the HHL ban and let we the people decide if they are popular or not. RGDS!

Yep, re-group and strike at dawn. haha

I hope they just call it a day and decide to determine that the actual population is to be slightly less than 100K with all the unsold or cancelled coins taken to the smelter. Unlikely, I know but Rod Sterling sez.......

Just saw that collectpure lowered their bid price to $175 from $215 ($230 prior) and around 400 units were sold to them...

Either the 18,000 number earlier today was a glitch before the HHL was lifted...or it's not really sold out and more will become available at some point...because 18,000 did not sell today regardless of the limit being lifted.
