Not another Draped Bust GTG (lol). I dug out my ANA grade book for this one. They tell me not to get worked up over adjustment marks. I will guess VF-35. It is probably just a 30 but I give a 5 point bump for something I have never seen in hand. James

Surprisingly this is an MS-60 coin.

@pcgsregistrycollector . As I said, not anywhere near my knowledge level. Is it common for coins of this type to have that flat gray center? I would peg it as waer 10 out of 100 times, but then i am often wrong about many things. james

I am also unfamiliar with this issue, @seatedlib3991. I was initially very shocked that this coin got a grade even remotely close to Mint State 60. If any draped bust collectors could shed some insight on this, it would be much appreciated.

MS-60? It has to be a labeling error.

Here's one that is graded EF-45 that's in my collection. I been drawn to the early half dimes for as long as I have been a collector. The 1796 pieces have always been bad luck for me. I have always just missed the "right" piece.

This one has been lightly cleaned, but it still got a straight grade.

This one is graded NGC AU-58, CAC. I'll take this one over the OP all day long.

Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
