As we spoke the other day, I still want to get this in MS64, for now this is my current example and what’s really neat is this one has no clash marks whatsoever!
That is very difficult to find. They’re almost always found with clash marks.

Nice! The best looking gold dollar by far. It's a shame that wasn't the type used on $3.
Type 2s are known for weak strikes. I was very happy to procure this nice example a few years ago thanks to a tip from a fellow board member.

For a date known for a horrible strike & other issues, this one’s pretty good:
PCGS VF35. Color is also “right” for this issue.

Here is another 1855-C. Not as original as Copperindian's, but a pretty nice stike on the obverse.
Bought as MS63 w/CAC, then upgraded by PCGS to MS63+ via Reconsideration.

Wow, the full Brockage looks amazing !
I always liked the slanted 5's @lordmarcovan , thanks for sharing !!
It's all about what the people want...
This one is graded MS-64.
This one is graded MS-63, but I like it better.
This is another fun coin.
With the big spread between AU58 to Unc. it has been common to try it for the higher grade if there is a chance for an upgrade.

I picked mine because of the full date, the grade didn't really matter.
