American Liberty High Relief 1 ounce gold coins

American Liberty High Relief 1 ounce gold coins
These are the latest mintages for the 1 ounce gold High Relief American Liberty coins:
2015: 49,325 coins
2017: 49,697 coins
2019: 24,609 coins
2021: 12,471 coins
2023: 12,188 coins
2025: ????????
What is interesting about these 1 ounce gold coins is the highest mintages sell for close to melt value, however the lowest two sell for a hefty premium at just over 12k mintages.
Recent prices for raw coins:
2015 $3713
2017 $3550
2019 $4249
2021 $6000
2023 $6000
Some brave soul has already purchased a graded presale of the 2025 coin at $5379.95 betting that the mint will again issue a lower mintage for this coin. However, no mintage has yet been posted on the website so far.
Based on recent prices though, it appears that the coins now have hit mintages worthy of buying.

And 0 available to the ABPP's...
Great thread.
I didn't contemplate buying the 21 for a minute. I sure wish that I saw that coming.
I am NOT challenging your statement about the ABPP. But, I would like to clarify it.
While they do not appear to be taking pre-orders yet, LCR has listed multiple 'AD/AR' items.
CAC Example:

NGC Example:

Link: https://lcrcoin.com/2025-w-american-liberty-series-gold-high-relief-ar-ngc-pf70-harrigal-signed/
Given these listings, LCR appears to believe that early access will be available for this release. Are you saying that there will be no 'ABPP/early access' for this item?
They are also slabbed as "advanced release" so they must have been ABPP eligible.
If you aren't challenging the statement, I will. If reputable dealers have posted mock-ups for AR slabs, there WILL be AR slabs. They don't appear out of nowhere.
Given that past mintages have been around 12.5K, and given that 8K have been loaded, it is not unreasonable to assume the mintage will be around 10-12.5K, and that up to 2K will be AR. What IS unreasonable is to assume no AR, based on nothing other than an even 8K being loaded.
2021 is my favorite. Given the price now I'm not the only one.
You make some excellent points. Thank you for posting them.
Sometimes, I misread posts (e.g., sarcasm, running jokes, etc.). In this case, I wasn't really sure that I had interpreted the comment from @Rc5280 correctly. Which is why I asked for clarification, as opposed to challenging it.

The Bigs have a product limit of 2k. Let's hope it stays that way...

My ASSumption was based on no AB .gov page has been posted. Now that the AB page is up, I stand corrected.
See my post/link above.
Thanks!
Unfortunately, after the Superman fiasco, this means absolutely nothing. They could easily reload 8000 after selling out. Then 8000 more....then 8000 more.
Does anyone remember how long that one was available?
I think it was around a week or two. It was expensive for the time, and a new, unique representation of Liberty.
It didn't catch fire until well after it sold out. Eventually, the low mintage, attractive design, and ever changing bi-annual issuance gave rise to the value you see today.
Unbelievably, the exact same thing happened again in 2023. We're slow, but we do eventually recognize the pattern.
This year's release will likely follow what happened with Sac. If it's pandemonium like FH, due to participation by buying clubs, expect mass cancellations, like Army privies.
The Mint seems serious about shutting down the gamers. Sac HHL still hasn't been lifted, and a non-trivial amount have been added back to inventory each day since release.
The coin went back order after 16 minutes with an expected shipping date of 11/11/2021. The coin went currently unavailable shortly after the HHL of 1 was removed after 24 hours.
Thank you!
My mom was sick & I wasn't paying attention. I can't recall one that took off like this after the fact due to design.
Appreciate the info!
