    No Drapery.

    With Drapery. This one is a Proof, which makes it a bit rarer. I dream of forming ann 1858 Proof set, but I am very long way from that.

    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible.     Here is another, sold at Heritage May, 2024.

    Great find, that makes two. I have been looking at most of the 1855 dimes I run across to find another one and this example is the only other one so far.

    Cool, I got very lucky and it was the first one I checked.

    For die markers:

    1. (LDS) the big crack through S4, the arm and into gown folds:


    2. Horizontal line in shield above RT. I believe I see this on your coin, too.
