    67+

If we were all the same, the world would be an incredibly boring place.

Thanks so much guys, we have almost 40 guesses on this coin so far!

New question - would everyone prefer we keep each coin in this thread, so you'd have to scroll through the past guesses? Or would you prefer a new thread for each coin?

67 cac at least; a couple luster grazes etc.; not sure how many they'd permit for a 68.

    I'll count this as a 67+.

I'll guess MS67+ and if it weren't stickered by CAC I very well might have guessed MS68.
Said another way, I'll be shocked it the coin grades less than 67.

I'm the least qualified on this site on grading, though I'd agree with probably the most experienced person on this site.

I’ll add a + to my previous guess if I still can.

I adjusted it in the data, thanks.

Before finalizing and posting my guess please crack this Morgan out and take detailed photos of the edge.
(I need to count the number of reeds.)

I think the coin would be a 68 upon closer examination. This coin from the California collection is at GC currently and it is graded MS-68 CAC.

He clearly missed the “CAC only” part of this experiment.

Under Liberty’s chin in the field. That area appears to have been messed with.

I’ll go ahead and confirm that this is not correct.

You’re free to guess again, with a straight grade. The coin is not a details example.

Those look like minor contact marks in a very large image. I can’t see any evidence of a tooling/spot removal there.

My thinking is with it being in the bright area from the cartwheel effect and is dark, it’s like someone took an eraser there and it toned/retoned dark.

Strange to have a patch of scuffs scratches and darkness in one area, and nothing anywhere else on the coin.

There are also minor marks and what looks like a darker area on the chin. But my guess is that we’re seeing the effects of lighting. I appreciate you taking the time to explain.

I'm late, I would have said 67+, not higher with the so subtle, but graded 68/CAC must be striking in hand, nice thread.

Not late at all, the reveal won't happen until either late tonight or tomorrow afternoon, depending on if guesses keep coming in today.
