    Great looking graphics Ken. This should certainly stir up interest. Best of luck to you in your next venture. Zack.

    @alaura22: no auction for this group Mike. I think they’re pretty obscure to most but a small group of collectors. I picked Paradime for their marketing expertise + wealth of contacts. Plus, as a small dealer, they have the ability to formulate a presentation that’s specific & best fits this special set of coins.

    Ken, absolutely the right move. Seeing what happened with the re-sale on some of the Blay collection recently at auction. You never know who will show up and with those coins it's not worth the risk
    Good luck

    That is an impressive set @Copperindian! How long did that set take to build?

    Thanks! More than 3 years. I can’t really improve on it much as there’s so few of these available. So, time to sell & reload for something else. The thrill of the hunt never goes away! Besides, I think coins like these should be shared.

    That took some impressive dedication to build for 3 years!

    And some luck & being in the right place @ the right time! The S-1 was a cherrypick @ ANA by a collector friend of mine. The S-2 was being sold by an antique & collector’s dealer on his Instagram page. The S-3 was sold by Rick Snow after he didn’t get the upgrade to 65 he hoped for. The S-4 was also sold by Eagle Eye; the seller was a generalist. The S-5, S-9 & 1857 were sold by a collector when he retired his set. The SL was involved in a swap with a fellow collector. Finally, the LL was poorly depicted in a HA auction.
    But, you’re right & it was still tough to put it together.

    Announcement: Paradime Coins has put a banner up on their website this AM:

    They have included information about each coin in the set & instructions for getting future emails about the sale, which takes place through their website (www.paradimecoins.com) on September 1, 2025. They have further put out flyers on CAC, Greysheet, The Numismatist, Coin World & other related publications. The nine coins will also be displayed @ the World’s Fair of Money in Oklahoma City on August 20-23.

    NEWP:

    OLDP:

    These make for a nice companion pair - 1857 & 1858 FE’s both with the foam gasket insert to keep the coin from rattling in the rattler. I don’t see these “Foamies” very much anymore. I have to update the NEWP obv slab which now has the green bean. The OLDP has the updated pic of the coin with the EEPS. It also correctly indicates it’s the SL type - back in rattler days they didn’t distinguish between SL & LL. The label has the LL ID#, which was the only one used at that time.

    @Copperindian, Ken, nor did they distinguish the two through the OGH era as this small date 1858 uses the same coin designation as yours (2019), for the large date. Zack.

    @jfriedm56:

    Good info Zack - I wasn’t sure when they started distinguishing between the two. It has to be with the early blue tags.
