Excess probably just the BIGS returning all those that didn't make the MS70 cut. RGDS!
They don’t have them and second who returns items they can sell raw (upon eventual sellout) for 2x issue.
They have the advance releases, although they are not allowed to ship until the Mint does. I saw them on TV last night.
Also, they can sell them raw for 2x issue right now. Not upon eventual sellout. The bid is live. Right now.

I'm doubtful that any of them have any Advanced Releases in hand. Maybe on order, but what do I know.
I do know that every single image of a slabbed Army ASE that's on eBay, and most likely shown on your TV show, is a 100% fake/morphed image. The AB's can't pick them up for another week+. None of these has been slabbed yet(opinion)...
.
What I saw on TV wasn't an image. It was a coin. In a slab. With a privy. In a TV studio, being broadcast right into my home in HD.
They have them in hand. Actual coins. Not pictures of coins. Graded, priced, and ready to ship, in quantity, as soon as the Mint starts shipping to the public.
How do you know what the "ABs can pick up" and when?

So all of the eBay pics are 100% morphed, but not Magic Mike's pics?
Was the person holding the slab in their hand when you saw the real deal, or was it in a fixed, motionless photo off to the side with a ridiculous price attached to it?
Next time you're watching HD-TV and the show comes back - please write down the Cert # that's on the slab and get back with me.
I'd be very interested in looking up that real coin, in a real slab...

Yes. Nice screenshot from the Mint. Fortunately for you, and unfortunately for me, NOTHING ever changes with them, so you can take those screenshots to the bank. 🤣
It wasn't Magic Mike. It was RCTV, and they had a wall of them on display. When anyone does mock-ups on TV (Magic Mike, Coin Vault, or RCTV), it is obvious, because it's an old coin in a new holder. Not AI generated images of coins. These were the Army privies. Not 2024 proofs in 2025 slabs.
I know everyone likes to argue everything here. I'm as guilty as anyone else. But why do you feel the need to argue about this? ABPPs always get everything before the general public, but they can't ship to retail until the Mint does.
So what's the difference to you if they got them 2 weeks ago, or won't be getting them for another 10 days? The Mint clearly played games with the ship date, as indicated by all the movement in and out of pre-order and back order status, with ship dates vacillating between 7/7 and 7/29. Likely tied to the aggressive order purging they been actively engaged in.
YMMV, but I don't think the hold-up is due to the coins not being ready to go. I think they are waiting for a sellout before shipping.
In any event, given all the times the Mint has changed things up with no explanation, I see no reason to think 7/21 for the ABPPs was ever engraved in stone. Between your screenshot and what I saw with my own lyin' eyes on TV last night, I'm sticking with myself. You do you.

why wouldn't other majors already have them on sale instead of pre-sale??
Everyone has to be pre-sale because, whether or not they have them in hand, Advance Releases cannot be released to the public before the Mint ships to the public. If dealers jump the gun they will lose access to the ABPP. So they don't.
But they are always in dealer hands, sent to be graded, and sent back to the dealers before that date. Whether it's a week or a month. It's very possible the period would be longer than normal in this case because they delay between the Mint's on-sale date the ship date has been so drawn out.

Really fascinating discussion I would say that the modern proof silver eagle market is in good shape and maybe other areas of the modern area are to. I like to see that. I hope this attracts new collectors to the hobby.

It might have little to do with proof ASEs and more about Army veterans and privy collectors.
This whole privy thing needs to be managed appropriately. I know I am repeating myself but it really is crucial to keeping interest.
I would guess that's who the big boys are going to try to market to. But $300 to $400 may be a tough sell given that it's just a privy mark. You can get a 2011 Army silver dollar for under $50
