Would this 1838 O Seated Liberty Dime grade at all?

    Unless the grainy fields are called corrosion I would take a stab at AG-3. One of my favorite dates of all time. james

    Its a great date that did its job, cool coin but it isn't really worth grading unless you want it in plastic.

    Fair enough, it looks problem free with no unevenness indicative of a bend. It’s an avg AG3, fairs typically have most of the Rev gone ie wreath and letters gone. My humble example from my New Orleans collection

    I’ve owned several 45+ coins, I haven’t seen a lower numbered +.
